  1. and I guess I botched the flop with a reraise, although I cannot believe he called it. I felt like I had a great chance to take it down with my move...this guy had a pattern of 3x-4x BB pf raise and 1/2 pot continuation bet on flop regardless of board. My table image at the time was very solid as well...had only showed down the best hand each time. Don't think I would have called the reraise with J2 if I were him....but hey, I'm the one here posting and he's still playing. :)

  2. I think calling the preflop raise was just fine. If you are going to play with stiffs that play like that, hey...I want in on that game!! You could have called that raise with AJ, JJ, QQ, KJ, QJ or depended on your table image, even J10...so even once he HITS the top pair, he cant be sure his kicker is good...I was a great/stupid call by him on the flop once you reraised (its sometimes hard to tell the difference between great and stupid). Dont feel bad, I like the call, I like the reraise...the problem is that once you did that you were pot committed and had to call for the rest when he cameover the top...

Fiasco is a good player, but Id love to hear some explanation of what he was thinking here. Maybe he was actually thinking that YOU were a donk and that he could out play you post flop if you called...otherwise...hmmm iffy play there...lol

  3. high quality feedback as always supermoves.....

i hadn't made any plays at that table, and had only showed best hand down in the pots I was in. I thought he would have to respect that raise (1/3 of his stack) after I called him p-f. Even if he had J-8->J-2, i think it to be a very risky call/raise by him. I said GG to him as I called the rest of my chips certain that he had hit one of the bottom sets. I was shocked to see the jackduck flip over.

I may have to be like actionjeff and change my name--who knows, I may have DONK in my player notes! lol

  4. Before I saw what he had at the end, I was thinking either Ax of diamonds or more likley, pocket 5's...haha

  5. Why raise him 2g's on the flop and commit yourself with A high? If you thought he had nothing you could have just minraised and he still probably would have pushed and you would have saved 1200. Even after you did raise to 2800 you had to have known you were beat then right? I know you only had 1375 left, but I've seen much bigger comebacks than that. Think, him having J2(lol) is a best-case scenario for you and you were still almost a 3:1 dog on the flop.
  6. raise of 2gs was to knock out the following: flush draw, straight draw, JT or below (well that didn't work)....if he had raw bluff (AX, KX, etc...), it would knock that out too. Minraise would have kept in all the draws and weak jack.

I just don't see how I could lay down with 2 over the board getting 8:1 on my $. The chance I was stone dead (set) was less than the 8:1 I was getting on my bet. IMO
