Let me first say I am sorry for this post because it will definitely freak some people out. I know I haven't been active on these forums in quite some time but this is worthy of a post. I don't want to hear any tin foil hat jokes or that kind of crap please. This one, unlike other posts of the sort, is fact and not fiction. I'm not sure where to begin..... Let's just say for the past year and a half or so ( Sept 13th 2006 is the date that was found on my computer), some strange stuff has happened to me in online poker. Now, I am a smart guy and can find reason in anything and make as many excuses as needed to convince myself that sometimes bad things can happen no matter how often or repetitive they may seem. People making miracle 4th pair calls for thousands in a cash game over and over, losing 16 in a row overpair vs underpair (80/20's), losing 27 straight all in preflop 70/30's... the list goes on and i have them all recorded. Anyway, I would suck it up and just convince myself it was some sick variance. Of course, the unlucky account BS would pass through my head. The online is rigged thoughts would haunt my sleep, etc etc but I would always control myself enough to pass that crap off and keep playing my game saying there was just no way. The final straw was this year. In February, I flew out to California per the request of one of my players that I coach to coach him in person, have some fun and play some poker together. During my time out there (5 days), I made about 29k in cash games online on Full tilt and stars just playing 5/10 HU and 3/6 6 handed etc... I also made the final table of the Super Sunday major on Full Tilt and made a deep run in the stars Million at the same time on Superbowl Sunday. (finished like 90th or something i think) . I started thinking and my best results have ALWAYS been while on the road for poker or whatever. I won on stars while in Atlantis, I won on stars while at Bellagio, etc etc etc. Anyway, I returned home feeling good about my play yadda yadda... And of course, I continued to play the same cash games, now on my own internet connection etc. Over the course of the next 4-7 weeks, I played and crazy stuff was happening. I would get called WHENEVER I bluffed, nearly 100% of the time. If I had a big hand in the BB, the button would fold HU when he had NEVER folded button up to that point. This stuff was so ridiculously repetitive that I just couldn't believe it was possible. I mean NO WAY. It just wasn't possible to happen 100% of the time. I had different friends here at my house that witnessed much of this. I would get KK in the bb HU and say, watch he'll fold this button... and he would or let me 3 bet this 78s for the first time and he will reraise me all in...... and it would happen etc etc..... bet flop when i hit, they fold, bet a flop when i miss, they would re raise etc etc. My mouse would move on it's own sometimes and not let me click a call button of an all in when I had the nuts etc.. I would time out. There were thousands of scenarios that were seemingly impossible to happen unless they could see my cards. K, there's ALOT more but I won't bore you with details that just sound like whiny bad beat stories (too late). I have had a few different tech guys that I hired to investigate stuff. I won't list everything but here's a few things they found. They found that one of my internet connections was named 'coaching on xxxxxxxx' and another named cfl on xxxxxx. These make absolutely no sense. Yes I coach players but I would never name a network connection something like that. I dont even know what they mean so I wouldnt be naming anything especially not coaching etc. So I started thinking wtf was that.? ! The best I figure is that somehow through my VOIP and interenet connection (wireless) the hackers would not only know when I was playing but also know when I was coaching a player and from my screen also know who it was... I'm not saying the same weird stuff happens to my players but who knows what they are doing. Also a weird file imbedded in my hard drive called glggulhahahaigotyou. Many more weird things even though my wireless router is 'secure'. Anyway, after finally just saying NO FUCKING WAY!!, this shit is just NOT possible, I decided to buy a new computer. I was at Scott Fischman's house last Sunday playing tourneys and talking with him about different things. He was very against being on IM or email while playing and I have to say I agree now. I finally made the decision to get a certain computer that SHOULD cure all of this weirdness as it is supposed to be much less hackable. He also bought the same computer. Mostly just because it is REALLY cool. I am not saying Scott shares any of my same opinions as me or doesn't so please don't read into this and put a tin foil hat on him as well. He can chime in if he wants. I only mention him because it was while speaking with a person I respect about some of the online craziness, that I finally made up my mind to try to do something about it. So I get back home and go buy my new computer 4 nights ago. I get my poker sites downloaded and join some tourneys. In 3 days, I played about 12 tourneys. I cashed 7 of them including the warm up and also made 3 or 4 final tables... in the 55r, 30k, 20k etc.... so thats a good 3 days. I'm excited that maybe things are gonna go back to normal now. BUT! I come home tonight and open my new computer and..... The final thing that actually prompted me to make this post was staring me in the face....... The only icon on the computer was the Hard drive.... it was named HD by default. I did not turn the computer off when I left the house so it probably just went to sleep. When I opened it, this icon was now renamed..... "fuckr' !!!!!!!!! OMFG, there is no one in my house except my puppies so there is ZERO explanation for this other than the hacker(s) getting onto this new comp somehow and renaming it. I have no idea what else they have done or plan to do but am having it looked at and hopefully fixed tomorrow. So sorry for the long post but the message is simple. THIS shit is happening to varying degrees. It is not paranoia or tin foil hat stuff. This has cost me THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS over the past year and half and I am just sick about it. So much more happens also. Its not just the money, its the psychological aspect of it. I am a pretty tough minded guy but as crazy things happen, you start to second guess yourself and sometimes your mind goes crazy. OVER AND OVER again, i would convince myself that nothing was going on and this stuff must happen to everyone. I know it's just not the case anymore. Someone is in my shit and has caused ALOT of damage. I'm not sure what to tell you guys about how to prevent it..... I have Norton, I have spyware, I have windows defender and my wireless is password protected etc... None of this seems to matter and now they have gotten into my new computer in just 4 days. Are they installing a PCanywhere type thing where they can view my screen? no idea what they are doing but it is definitely benefiting those I play with and hurting me. All I am saying is look out. Its no longer a paranoia or fear, it's real. Its happening. Is it one person who has done this and then shares the info with multiple players or his own multiple accounts and then just follows me and sits with me and takes my money? I just dont know the process but there;s some sick shit going on. Just to be clear, this post is not some crazy off the cuff rant. It has taken a year and a half of weirdness for me to finally admit that it is NOT variance, it is something about my connection when I play at home. It takes alot for me to say all this because I am always the first to stop people when they start talking about rigged etc... I explain the game of poker and that anything can happen for any length of time but you know what, THIS SHIT can't happen. I've been hacked. Sorry I dont know more at this point. I will post more when I get more answers. If anyone knows anything that can help, please advise. With the help of my tech guys, hopefully I will know more soon. And to the FUCKER that is doing this and has been for so long and me being to pigheaded to admit it.... I hope you get what you deserve.

wow thats some scary shit. first thing i would do is stop using wireless. make sure no hidden cams in the house

i see how you might be losing in cash games if the hacker can see your screen, but in tournaments, its totally random with who you play and im not sure how the hackers can affect your performance in those. but yea, dont use wireless for the time being until everything is fixed.

Clearly this hacker has disabled your tab key so no one will read this post. In all seriousness if this is true it is only applicable to cash games it most certainly doesn't explain the bad beats/tournament struggles you've been having.

wow, this sucks and is crazy and scary. i dont know the OP personally but for anyone new to poker and new to P5s, the OP would have no reason to lie about this and should be believed 100%. what are your thoughts on running bad when u are the favorite? i guess i dont get how they can alter what cards come off the deck on the board. im not sure if you were talking about MTTs or cash games with those stats, but if it was cash and they could see your cards, wouldnt they be folding when they are a 20-80 or 30-70? either way, hopefully things get cleared up for u and this is definetly an eye opener.

Are you saying that not only could they see your hole cards but they could also manipulate the RNG to make you lose overpair to underpair 16x in a row?? That is one badass hacker that caused you to lose 27 70/30s in a row.........

Last year I lived in Louisville and ran as bad as I could possibly run. Since I moved out in January I have ran good, I guess it's not a coincidence, I must have outsmarted the hackers that were making me run bad at the end of every tourney(and run bad at all the live tourneys I played as well!!!)

If you would have left out the part about tourneys and the 16 in a row 80/20 losses and 27 in a row 70/30 losses then I might feel different about it..
EDIT: I have a friend who sleeps with a gun beside his head and thought the exterminators working on his neighbor's house was the gov't spying on him from a van in the driveway. This post reminds me of him...

This scares me alot, because I have felt this way for a very long time... and my internet connection isn't secure, and I swear to God I have felt this way for so long...
