Because I took down the Sunday $2.75 micro on stars! I almost didn't even play it, since I already had a billion tables going and the last thing I wanted was to be awake past 2AM to win $12.50 or some other ridiculous amount. It's not much money, but it feels great to beat a huge field (7390 players). I don't expect I'll beat that many people again in my lifetime, but I'm certainly going to try!
Good luck to all P5'ers at the tables. Allow me to pass on some of my "run good" karma to anyone who bothered to read a micro player's brag post. -
I was in this, lost QQ vs KK in like 500th place, wp to win it.

Sat and watched some of the FT <===Sick I know.
Well played sir. -
Thanks everyone! I hope each of you have an opportunity someday to experience something similar. I know it can't happen for all of you, but deep inside I'm rooting for every micro grinder to break through and dominate!
I'm truly grateful for the moment, whether this turns out to be a jumping off point or I never win again. For years, I've played micros with huge fields and come up short. Win or lose though, I really just love to play. I know at some point I'm supposed to burn out and hate poker like so many other grinders, but I feel fortunate that that hasn't happened. I'm just going to keep putting in some volume, balance it with lots of time with family and friends, and maybe someday far in the future I'll be able to make a brag post about a five figure score.
Best of luck at the tables. Keep working hard on your game and remember to stay positive, because you never know, your moment to close out something big might be just around the corner and you'd better be ready when it comes. -
