  2. This is a pretty standard 'free card play' that many high-level poker players use.
  3. disconnect abuse is possible here, you should send an email to support if you're concerned about it. It's not a given though, as sometimes this does happen, and that's why they have the all-in protection to begin. Sorry about the hand though

  4. Yes it happens. And it sure does seem that he did it on purpose. Nothing you can do. Trying having it happen for 4+ firgures. Best thing I can advise you is to go play on sites like stars and party were they have no disconnect protect tables. I have emailed UB once before when this happen to me and they basically are doing nothing to stop people from doing it.
  5. someone got "disconnected" playing v me @ 100200 limit on UB, they did nothing.

  6. I must say this as well. I was playing on UB once and the board came down QQ3. I bet and got raised all in. I held KK. As i was thinking about the hand in which i was probalby going to call, my laptop battery died and i got to see a free showdown with my KK. This was not something I was trying to do and when i came back to the table everyone was yelling at me for it. The guy had a Queen and i offered to transfer him the bet. But instead of taking my offer and money he was too busy bitching about me cheating and that was not the case. So it can happen, even though i think you got cheated

Take it easy, you only lost 7 dollars preflop and 24 dollars on the turn, total of 31 bucks. I don't think you are gonna starve for the rest of the month because some dude disconnected on you. And this sort of thing happens constantly. I can't even tell you how many times this has happened to me when I'm holding nuts and trying to force out draws. Sad thing about it is, it is part of the online game. It's shitty to say, but it isn't against the rules and there is protection for it. It's an added option that people abuse. Sucks, but its part of the game.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
  8. crummy stunt but it least it saved you some money....
  9. hey dane, just got your e-mail and I'm not an expert on this situation, but I don't think there is much you can do. However, if you send me your first name I will transfer you the $31 that you lost since this was a pretty crummy move and since I know how hard you have been working on your game.

  10. yeah cheaters suck 9assuming this timely disco was in fact cheating). I say the sites ought to watch players that abuse the all in disco protect and then warn them and then kick them off the site of they do it again -- just like what a casino would do to combat cheaters.

  11. can someone explain this tactic? i guess ive been lucky enough to not experience this, or maybe i have and didn't notice. im not following along with the hand history. how do you go all in while disconnecting?
  12. On disconnect protect tables, when you disconnect in the middle of the hand, the dealer declares you "all in", however, you dont have to pay the money to see the next card. So in this instance, the opponent did not have to call the 74 on the turn to see the river. They just disconnected and got to see the river for free.

  13. Possibly cheating — maybe. But if I was in the hand like that where I was on a flush and straight draw now I would have taken more money from ya. Take it as a blessing of saved money.
  14. thanks, i just went to google to find the answer and i got it. makes sense. i never thought about that, evil tactic for those on a draw. i play mostly on party and always noticed the "disconnect protect" but never thought anything of it or knew what it did. i just assumed it allowed extra time for a player to log back on and act.
on party i havent seen it keep a person "all in" for their bet. seems like on every timeout it's an automatic fold. is the "all in" disconnect protect on other sites then?
