    a) I'd been opening a lot of pots and then folding to a good majority of 3-bets
    b) he had been active since joining my table and he was the big stack

    yes pre ante's i would fold pre myself.

    but yes that's pretty RO. Try to remember the hands that your in a tough spot...figured out the best decision and won the hand. I know those are harder to remember but coolers and hands where you lose flips will happen.

    This doesn't mean he has to be 3betting light. If he has been opening lots of pots but not 3betting much, then I'd likely just fold, but if he had been actively 3betting then 4betting is better than flatting OOP imo.
