  1. ok deep in the $3r and this guy has been raising 2-4 hands per round so i try this.

Did I make a horrible mistake here? I had been on a short stack for a little while and I thought I finally had enough chips to make a play on him.
    He instacalls my shove.

  2. The frequency of his raises isn't a big factor here.

It's how often he is folding to reraises.

A guy who raises 10% of the time but calls a reraise with only with the top 40% of the hands he raises with is a very, very good resteal target.

A guy who raises 50% of the time, but calls a reraise with the top 80% of the hands he raises with is a very, very bad resteal target.

    This guy was guy #2
  3. had you seen him fold to any reraises?
  4. You have plenty of FE against a non-retarded person.

  5. HOORRIIDDD call on his part.
  6. Thx for the replies. I forgot to mention in my original post that I had seen him fold to a push before.

  7. I think the fact he raised in early position warrants you to put him on a tighter range, regardless of him pushing the table around. If he raised you from the button or SB you can pretty much shove with any two cards but not from this spot. I like to wait for at least a PP or Q 10s + even to shove on a late raiser, however, I know alot of players will use the same range as you.

This guy is an idiot for calling your shove which nearly puts your post in the bad beat category, but that's another story.
  8. U got unlucky...He was sooted!!

Kinda loooks like he had somewhere to go...He went out just a few places after you......
  9. I think its a bad shove against someone opening in early/mid right there. Even if he is pretty lag, he will probably open tighter there usually. Also the thing about shoving on lags, as they will call you signifcantly tighter than other players as they don't want to get pushed around and want to prevent people from shoving over his raises. Having said that his call was horrible given your range of shoving over an EP raiser.
