  1. This is a rant but please people who play these or satties and have a stack get a clue about the bubble. My example 6 people left im sitting in 2nd in bb with over 4000 button has slightly more than me. Blinds 75 150. SB had 200 so 75 in blind (he has to call with any 2 with only 125 left and no other significant shorties at table) What happens dumb ass button pushes all in with 55 obviously not letting me in hand. sb has aq (i had q2). Flop comes down qx2 - story short sb wins hand and comes back. I still cash but its so frustrating watch such an idiot play by the button with 55. We both have stacks let me in check it down and its likely over as opposed to trying to do it all himself with 55. Saw similar situation in a 39R other night also when I was in bb with aq. Shorty pushed where I was going to call and next guy after shorty with big stack pushed over him with with 107os. Obviously its a satty I folded and shorty doubles when I would have knocked him out with 2 pair. How dumb are you people when it comes to having stacks in these and not letting the other person in to end the tourny, especially with vulnerable hands. You have a stack why oush out other big stacks picking up nothing if you lose. Rant over.
  2. I agree, i just started playing these, and I see the dumbest crap.

On the bubble of the last one I'm in the SB and short stack is BB. One player raises in front of me, I call, and BB shoves. villan calls, and I call. Flop comes king high, i check, moron villian bets out half his stack!!! I got pissed off and over shoved just hoping maybe BB would win and I would put idiot boy out instead of BB. Unfortunatly villain ended up cashing. How stupid can you be. I see them bluff dry side pots on the bubble, make the best hand fold and then lose to the all-in, it's sick.

[edit] forgot to say I had AA that hand.
  3. wat
  4. Yea people make stupid moves but thats what you want in anything except those on the bubble.
  5. It's great when you are short though

Agreed. I said in another post that I've "won" several of those with 25 chips or LESS in my stack, watching two big stacks play at each other and one of them bust. Let them be idiots, if it gives me the win.
  7. OP: Do we have to assume you'd like to be at a table looking like this:

    Jennifear

    THE_D_RY

    Spacegravy

    Sheets

    DJK123

    Shaundeeb

    Dipthrong

    Albatross

In such table you'd never see people making such mistakes at the bubble.....mostly because you or I would bust in 9th position most of the time.

Please don't complain about people sucking at poker

  8. I agree. It can get quite annoying. Anyhow another question about DON, I've started over on stars and I've been playing $5 don, br is at $63 and I have about a 60-70% winrate. At what point should I move up? I'm thinking at 200 play the 10's till about 600, then go to the 50's. What are your thoughts?
  9. LOL at putting Albatross in with them...

    What???
  11. I am with elusively on this one.

I hope the idiots never learn what to do.

Next point, I'm not going to tell you are anyone else what you should be doing with your stack in this situation.

Whoa! When did I get so good at the poker??? I've played only a few hours in the last two months. There's at least a couple of people in that list who have no business being there and I'm certainly one of them, but thank you for the vote of confidence andres!

For once I agree with Maits, and I never agree with that fool ;)

  15. Can we get back to talking about strategy for DONs? Cause I was killing these and now I am on the dirtiest of downswings because of people calling off all their chips to my shoves on the bubble with KJ and A4 when obviously I have any 2.
  16. I'm still in the killing them phase. But I just started them today really.

So far my strategy is play super tight, hold on to every chip. Look for spots to double up early. If you end up near the bubble with average stack, it's push/fold. Play the clock, watch the blinds in case you are short, but someone else cant pass the blinds.

I was gonna put your name in here actually, but I don't think I would be able to fill a table with 9 players of your skill level. Not even a HU one.
