I was wondering what things people use to get reads on players online

    timing, bet sizing, cbet frequecy, 3b cbet%, limps ect A hud is usefull for getting the best reads

    A lot of it is based on what a villain has done in the past. For instance, last night, a villain 3-bet me from the small blind. He was a fairly passive player who hadn't 3-bet preflop once, so I assumed he had a very strong hand, probably JJ+, maybe including AK, but even AK was questionable. The flop came A82 and he lead out for 1/2 pot. I had seen this villain slow play sets on the flop twice before, so I though AA was unlikely. I put him on probably JJ, QQ, or KK. He ended up having KK (though I was unable to get him away from his hand; a read is only part of the equation, being able to utilize it is also important).

    More sophisticated players will be able to exploit their perceived tendencies by giving off false tells, or using them to generate their own reads. But this won't come into play too much at the lower stakes. For the most part, you can get a sense of what someone has by what they have done in the past. It won't be perfectly specific, but getting them down to a range is the first step to having a good plan for how to play a hand.

    yup huds work best for all this info, otherwise just one table and u will be surprised how quickly you can start to get reads and put players on hand ranges, keep an eye on the chat also helps to a lesser extent

    Sizing of the bets is probably the main one for me. Timing tells assume you are paying attention, which is hard when you have multiple tables and porn up at the same time.

    Betting tendancies and what hands these bets were placed on is what I got by mostly. Also how aggressive or passive the player is.
