What about possibly adding a bonus for making a double final table in the METs? Sort of similar to the bonus pools of the early, daily, and big doubles. Take a small percentage of the prize pool that goes to a seperate pool for things like double FT, best double, triple, or quadruple finish, etc. This could help alleviate some of the -ev aspects of making multiple deep runs. Perhaps that could make those mtts even more -ev though.. maybe put a certain % of each pool aside in case there is a double FT, and if it doesn't occur, then evenly distribute that % over just the final table, or maybe everyone who cashed? Just some dumb ideas.. flame away!

Yes, they could certainly have a promotion, daily or otherwise, for the METs.
Simply put though, there are only a handful of unique accomplishments here:
- Having two entries condensed (and likewise having several stacks condensed).
- Cashing with all entries.
It is possible to have say, three entries go down to two entries and then to bust one of the remaining two entries before it gets down to 9 entries total (8 unique players total). (And is the software programmed in the case of a 4-entry MET having only 180 total entries and paying 18 spots to bust a player in 27th outside of the money if all four entries make it down to three tables?)
So there could be incentive for entry condensation or for each additional entry after the first where a player reaches the money with all entries.
With knockouts, they could also give incentive for more players to enter the tournament multiple times by adding a bounty hunter prize. Although, other than rewarding the highest KO count in the Sunday Brawl with a ticket to next Sunday Brawl (whoopee), they haven't shown an interest in keeping KO totals or rewarding the player with the most knockouts (as has recently been popularized and demonstrated by pokerstars televised live shootouts).

It's strange: with on-demand tournaments and METs they seem to be really ratcheting up the potential take at every opportunity, yet they choose some bizarre ways to go about it marketing wise. Wouldn't it be cool to recount a story to a non-poker-regular and tell them you knocked out the most players and won money on top of the final table prize? Wouldn't it sound quite strange to tell anyone not familiar with METs that your two entries to a tournament were consolidated at the final table, so you wouldn't be in hands against yourself, on your way to a nice final table score?
