  1. Sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but did any of you have a tough time going from
live poker to on-line. i'm not pro by no means but i seem to do considerably better on the felt
then i do on-line. what kind of training to some of you suggest to help me out.

    thank you

    Sterling
  2. i have a hard time going from online to live. i have a hard time processing the information that is usually right in front of me when i play online.
  3. same here...
  4. yea im defintely a much better live player but im still succesful online ... the key to online is to be disciplined . dont be afraid to tighten up a little more or make some lay downs early on ... i think this is a must to get used to online and get comftorable ... but i mean there are calls i make instantly with ace high and king high live or bottom pair for decent sized pots where online i have to work for these calls .. its definitely a different feel .. just be disciplined
  5. No need for training, just do what i did.

  6. Understand that a 1/2 NL game in your local casino is going to be MUCH easier than a 1/2 NL game online. Online, you have people making a living multi-tabling that game. They have their strategies and styles down cold over hundreds of thousands of hands a year. In a casino, that game is 7 drunks and two local old ladies.

  7. sign up for cardrunners or PXF thatll help you alot
  8. ^^^^ i was thinking the same thing as grapsfan.

online games are tougher at the 1/2 levels.

you have to remember, online, 1/2 level players are generally multi tabling 4-12 tables at a time. a lot are pretty good and arent afraid to push around nit players because they can afford to lose the buy in. in a casino, most 1/2 (multi tablers) are 10-20 live players.

maybe switch sites or drop down a level or two.

25 and 50 max tables are almost always beatable for an okay player.

try bodog, a lotta gamblers play poker there.

    good luck
