  2. hmm I think he got the 9 or hit his set... I lay it down cause honestly what do u beat? A7?

just my thoughts, I suck at poker
  3. Im not very good either......I FOLD here.
  4. Why check the flop? If you get popped at least you've defined where your hand is at a little more.
  5. Pls lead flop.

As played I think i am folding the river, looks like a value town usa bet.
  6. its a tough spot becuase you played the hand so weakly after the flop its tough for him to put you on a pair. I would raise more preflop to begin with. You give him 2.5 -1 odds to call with position on you for the rest of the hand with a very vulnerable 88. By only raising to 60k you create a 138k pot with only 280K behind and you are playing out of position with 88...and you check a pretty dry flop which gives him the green light to take the pot from you. This is really one of those instances where I would make a very big raise preflop...I may even just shove it in....It defines your hand a bit, but you want to take away the ability for the bb to reshove your opening raise with marginal holdings like 10Jsuited, plus its just a difficult hand to play after the flop out of position because there's obviously going to be over cards on the board. there's 48k dead in the pot, I think I just shove it pre....its possible you could get a call with a worse hand, and most of the time you are racing.
  7. perfect flop to lead out on imo

  8. jam pre

  9. hero call and win vs 10J

  10. Gonna have to agree with Randers here. M about 7 SB vs BB, 48k in the middle and you are already invested 12k I ship it in. If you're called you are most likely racing for a real decent stack, if he folds, you add a good percent to your stack. Do you really want to see a flop with 88 oop?
  11. bet flop shove turn

  12. bet / call the flop. also, you lose soooo much value in your hand by overbet shoving here bvb with 88 as randers said.
  13. Your raise pf is good I definitely do not like a shove. Your hand is very strong blind vs blind so you give him a chance to make a mistake and try to resteal pf. Sometimes he will call and it will be tricky to play it postflop but you dont want to give up ev just to make things safe for yourself.

Postflop the way its played without a specific read on the guy I probably fold. In general I would bet the flop tho.

Edit actually now that I look closer at the hand I think I might call river. It seems likely that many people will bet the flop with Kx when you check to them and its pretty rare in the sunday million for someone to vb thinly on the river with 9x. So considering the sick odds you are getting I probably call river.

  14. Im thinking A2 is a possibilty here calls in position pre

    checks bottom on flop

doesnt beleive your turn bet, makes very marginal call

hits trips and hopes to get paid off?

i think he bets k or 7 on flop,

think hes got the 2 or nothing at all

  15. So say you Cbet the flop and get flatted do you shove the turn or pretty much chk/fold?
  16. ok now that i think about it.......doesn't leading the turn turn your hand into a bluff? The only action you get is obv a hand that has you beat, but if you go into check/call mode post flop you can get value from your hand when your opponent stabs at the pot, of course read dependant.
  17. i lead flop for 72 K and reevaluate. no way you can check here.

  18. Call river. Nothing really makes sense on this board. With your stack, most pocketpairs he's going to get it in pre. Most kings he's betting the flop with. He could be defending his bb with A9 maybe but that's all that would really make sense on this board. Also with the line you took, and your weakish turn bet, I'm bluffing this river a lot if I'm villain.

  19. My line of thinking was i felt i had the best hand for sure pre so when the board came K high with 2 diamonds yes i felt i had the best hand still but wasnt sure plus im out position and with that board he is capable of bluffing me off my hand.So whenhe checked i felt 98% sure he didnt a King.So the turn brings an off suit 9 now i stil feel i have the best hand so i bet 80k because if he was trapping with a king he for sure rasies here not lettin me get a free one to outdraw. So when he flatts my intetion was to check/call any river bet so when he the 2 hit I check expecting him to ether check/valuebet/ but he quickley pot committs himself fucking my read up.I almost caaled him and belive i should have as I told a couple of my freinds. But guess i didnt go with my gut and it cost me.P.S Im not very good and special thanks to a couple of good very good poker players who chimed in on this thread whos game i really respect.

  20. Triple B!!! Great meeting you in Tampa. I hear that may be a quarterly event.

Tough spot. I think the preflop call would indicate a weaker hand such as Q10,KJ or a monster.... QQ,KK or AA. Usually any other PP or A9-AK will raise back.

This being the case, I invest a flop bet, as you are an aggressive player, and AK is a likely holding for you. If you get repopped, you will still have about 10BB if you decide to fold. If you get called, you can 3 barrel the turn or check fold. If you don't get moved in on the flop, I would lean towards a shove on the turn, as this would fit a bluff or a big hand.

As played, your turn bet is basically saying "I have a hand, just not a king.....or 3 of them." The villians call is less likely a K and more likely a draw that developed.

Checking the river is the right play here. Problem being, this bet seems to be a missed draw, but if you are wrong, you are effectively out of the tourney. I say call on the river, as a missed draw seems more likely. It will suck when he shows a made hand, but a made hand just doesn't make sense here unless it is a set of kings.

For the most part (and I know because I do it), the hand got away from you, and you started reacting versus having a gameplan for the hand.

Either way, I'm still a huge Triple B fan.
  21. BBB,

I replied earlier in the post. The nine could have been a bad card for you, but I still think a draw developed. Don't beat yourself up, that was a tough spot.
  22. Bet the flop plzzzzzzzzz

  23. Your best bet here would have been to bet on the flop. Your check on the flop just screams "I don't have a K". He flat calls the weakish bet of 80K when the 9 hits and bets 140K on the river when the board pairs 2's. He's either made a set of 2's (A-2) or has A-9.

A bigger raise preflop or betting the flop would have been your better options. Raising to 60K preflop gives the BB every reason to defend his blind...being OOP, this should have been played more aggressively.

Preflop: Calling 40K into an 88K pot (> 2:1 pot odds)

Turn: Calls 80K in a 168K pot (> 2:1 pot odds) ---> Your bet does look like a bluff attempt.

Bets 140K in a 248K pot (this looks like a value bet)
  24. limp pre

  25. If he limps pre, doesn't this give the BB an opportunity to steal the pot? Or are you saying if he tried to raise, then OP would re-raise?

With a weakish 8-8, I'm not sure if OP wants to see a flop here....
  26. bet 62k

    call shove

    profit

as played i think ur check flop isnt too bad but ur turn bet is just alot of spew and i think its mandatory turn check/vbet most rivs if u opt. to not bet call this flop.
oh and fold this riv, hes jammin draws on turn imo, also he pry checks behind flop with a K and might interpret ur flop check as weakness and hes just flatting turn with his Kx range and playing it as the nuts bc of this.

  27. with the stack sizes being so sketchy, i like to limp pre in this spot alot and go for a limp reraise all in or just play the pot small out of position.

and oh yeah didnt u ship the $300 6max like a week ago u sicko, thats only like my dream tourny to win.

  28. omg mig sighting
  29. bet flop, fold river

  30. OP should call the river. Villan is just as likely to be bluffing a missed flush as he is to holding anything else.
