I want to know what site is the most easy site to start and build a bankroll. I have a buddy that told me to try bodog? because of the smaller fields and the payouts are faster now? I don't get it? what does he mean? Oh yeah he also said because of less variance and bad beats. Compare to Fulltilt and pokerstars? One other thing is I have about $500 to start my bankroll which tourneys should I play In bodog?
Thanks,
Yer -
If you're trying to build a bankroll, fast payouts shouldn't be near the top of your ideal site criteria list.

Many consider bodog to be softer on average, but in micro/low buyins I don't think it makes a ton of difference. stars def has the most options in terms of what you can play, with FTP not toooo far behind. Stars has the fastest/best cashouts from what I have seen as well as having far and away the best customer service. Bodog has smaller fields but stars has 180 man SNGs and 360 max MTTs so there are a decent bit of small field tourneys.
Your friend who says there are less beats on bodog is an idiot, there are the same amount on both.
I would recommend trying stars, ftp and bodog play money to see how you like the interface/software. For some people that can be make or break.
Also might want to check out cake poker. They have small fields as well as some big MTTs on sundays etc -
Bodog is a great site to build a bankroll on, I suck and have done well. There arent less badbeats, lol, but there is wayyy less variance. However, stars and FT do have good multitable sitingoes to start a bankroll as well.
W/ 500 on Bodog, you should play-$12 2kSS @11am, $7 1.5k @4pm, the $20 2k @4:30pm, the $10 1.5 @ 5pm, $10 4k @9:10pm, and the $8 2k @12pm.
There are also $4 and $8 beginner tourneis that run often in the afternoon.
All of these tournies other than the 4k get under 200 people, so its very easy to do well. -
bodog sucks. if i were you i would deposit it all on either tilt or stars your pick. IMO fastest way to build a bank roll is sngs then switch to multis when u hit like 10kish. so with 500 play 11 dollar sngs. for a protected bankroll you should have 45 buy ins for sngs. and try to play as many as you possibly can. low buy in sngs are easy and you can build a roll from 500 pretty quick. i started on tilt with 50 and playin 2 dolla sngs.

I checked out Cake and the min cash out is $500 by check is that true? other than that I don't think it's that bad? But for the most part $500 I can play those SNG's in FTP or PS like everyone else said than?

Find somewhere with rakeback IMO. I've been on stars forever and it sickens me to look at how much I give them in rake. If you're not in the US party poker is soft as anything, but if you cant play there FTP would probably be the best bet if you can get rakeback and maybe a deposit bonus if you can play enough volume.

i would start with the 9 mans

yes 9 mans are the best to build up bankroll. 3 out of 9 get paid. If you do join stars they have Double or nothings (DoNs) which half the table gets double their buyin if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for all the replys I think i'm going to stick to bodog small fields in MTT's and fulltilt poker's 9 man $11 SNG's.
Thanks again,

Same for Cake. Sign up for rakeback.

Lots of good sites out there for rakeback. It's something I wish I had done when I opened my Full Tilt account, but I didn't even know about it at the time. Most grinders are able to supplement their bankroll quite substiantally with rakeback.
Good luck. -
Can you get rakeback for Bodog?

No, there are no rakeback offers for Bodog at the moment.
If you have good BR management you can play just about anywhere at the same level. If you don't I wouldn't recommend stars or FTP to star solely because they are the easiest to play out of your BR on, I used to do it back in the day when I first started and I've seen a lot of people do it. If you know what you're doing and can play in your limits, esp if you're looking for higher volume of games and multitabling Stars or Tilt are the best. I love Bodog though, just fyi.
