What are the odds he wasnt already playing during the ban?

Knowing you are playing against Sorel has to be better than not knowing you are playing against Sorel. So I'm not sure why people are upset about this. The people who play high stakes have been playing against him, you just didn't know that you were. Knowing you are now has to level the playing field a bit.

I mean - the poker sites have been exempt from any kind of reasonable standard of justice. Poker sites can take your money away with no explanation and/or with no recourse for you to get your money back. They protect cheaters by not telling us who those cheaters are. They can apply the same set of rules different ways because they like player A over player B.

And here is the other thing - what are you going to do about it? Are you going to stop playing on FTP? If you make money - why would you stop. Poker players always can bend their moral values when it comes to making money. If the retarded kid Corky from My So Called Life sat down on a $5/$10 cash table with $10k in front of him, I think the waiting list would be thousands deep. Why? Because poker players can't pass up +EV situations. It's why sites like UB and Absolute still get top players to play on their sites. Because you can make money.

The poker sites know this - so they will continue to do what they want, when they want and how they want. And with Sorel's live results over the past few years, I would not be surprised at all that he eventually becomes sponsored by FTP. Because that means they can get their logo in front of the camera that much more.

Can we be outraged? Sure.
Is anything going to change because of this outrage? Probably not.

And a side note on underage players = cheating. Two people the same age. Player A follows the rules and waits until he is 18 to start playing online poker. Player B doesn't follow the rules and starts at age 16. When Player A is 18, joins a poker site and is sitting at the same table as Player B, Player B has a distinct advantage because he didn't follow the rules. By my standards, that is cheating. You broke the rules to gain an advantage. I know I'm in the minority on this and I'm sure someone will go apeshit on me for saying it. Good thing I don't care.

Get off his nuts kid. Also didnt I read he was supporting his struggling family at age 17 by playing online poker? Sounds like a saint IMO. Unless you can prove he MAs now and his story isn't true GTFO

Just stumbled across this comment, as I started to read this thread. It is funny you mention this, with all the talk about MET's, I find it odd that not many people have talked about, how a multi-account player, is now able to register 6 times in a ftops, so say they have. 1,2,3, or 4 accounts, they are now in a position to use multiple accounts even more so than ever...

The US players don't really have much of a choice but if I was a Euro no way would I be fucking with that bs site. Their security is whacked and their customer service is the absolute worst.

The only reason people play there is because they have one of the larger customer bases aka larger guarantees & buy ins. That and I guess some people prefer their tourny structures over the other sites. I personally won't play there because of the way they conduct their business operations.

He isn't the only one who holds disdain for that player. A lot of you have to be living in a fantasy land to believe that he would have access to 2 accounts, and not attempt to get an edge from it an some point. Also mentioned the lack of any disclosure of ftp multi accounts. If he did it on stars he did it on ftp as well. Supporting a struggling family ? I bet you believe strippers too when they whisper sweetness in your ears, and while we are at it, do you believe everything people tell you on the interwebs ? Sounds more like a hustler then a saint. Get fucking real. It is never right, to do wrong to do right,if he really was supporting his family good for him. It doesn't make it right for him to have made multis to do this.

I was wrong daize did admit that on full tilt he played as let me breath. He also stated that he never played the account again after he turned18. Didn't he gain an unfair advantage by changing screen names? He knew how other people played, but other high stakes regs had no idea how he first played when he changed screen names until he admitted to it when he got caught by pokerstars.
