Hey guys i've seen some chirps and have interest myself in a miniftops competition, but I think that the team comp foutight's running is very well put together and perfect for the occasion so I feel like running a miniFTOPS team comp side by side would be sorta disrespectful and at the very least dilute the 2 competitions (my opinion obviously, not necessarily the case) but I like the idea of a solo comp, and dont think it would take away from the team one.

Just posting to gather an idea on interest and ideas, if there's a lot of interest I'll agree to run it and find someone more respected within the community to hold for it, maybe someone who's not entering if I can find someone who fits both of those criteria. Post away!
my thoughts...
BI=100$, tiers of BI/separate competitions if there's heavy interest at multiple BI levels
1st only paid <11 entrants (or <15)
1st 80% 2nd 20% <21 entrants (or <25)
1st 70% 2nd 15% 3rd 5% (or 65,20,5 : 65,15,10 : etc.) >29 entrants (or >34)
All miniftops count regardless of BI and game, if there's serious problems with non NLHE games then separate comps or strictly NLHE competition -
im in and will ship when i get back from thanksgiving vacation if their is more interest in it.

wait so its just every man for themselves right? PLB scoring and the lone player with the most points at the end of the series wins all?
-
Sounds good, I'd even be down for a 50 dollar buy in haha. I vote all tourneys should count, not just nlh. who's holding and doing the scoring? Anyone here have experience at running them?
-
I will either find someone to do scoring who has experience or ask P5s to do what they did for the other comps running. As for holding I don't feel comfortable saying I'd do it only because I'm still sort of a newer face around here and don't want to kill any action for the event, so if there is heavy interest I would seek out a respected member willing to hold.
And yes this would be an every man for themselves competition, with places paid decided upon popular vote based on field size.
I am confident in running the event smoothly, i dont work or go to school ATM, i just don't want to hold for the forementioned reasoning. -
I've ran a few last year and used a scoring system that was used for other ftops contests. If there is enough interest I would do another one. I've held in the past over a 5k prizepool but since I don't play that high I probably wouldn't be best holder. Anyway if you get enough interest pm me and I'll set up sheet.

Is $50 too low a buyin for people?
-
Interested for $100 the more events included the better
-
prefer 50, but im down for a hundo. rather only NLHE events also.
-
in for either $50 or $100, would prefer all games are included
didn't see it in OP but i'm pretty sure the mini ftops team comp is a full mtt comp, not just the mini ftops mtts, which may help to add a little incentive to those wanting to play a comp but not wanting/being able to put in a lot of volume -
+1, $50, NLHE only!
Rizz -
Prob in if its a hundo. Will check back when Im home from veg
-
if i ever finish this sunday grind i'm going to start an interest list up top for 50$ and 100$. If there's more than 10 i think it should run, so there's a good chance we'll be running a 50 and 100 based on current interest. no reason you can't buy into both IMO so anyone who said they dont care i'll list in both for the time being, let me know which one or two you want to be on, or if i make any mistakes once i make it
-
Im in !
-
i'm not in, but do have a really bad idea.
$50 NLHE + $25 "optional side pot" for other games. -
If it's a miniFTOPS competition - all the events should count...not just the NLH events which make it easier for those who don't know the other games
-
i def take what i said back i think all events should count as well
-
$100 but all events tho.
