He instantly went all in on the river when the pot is only at 96 dollars. Now a little background of how this heads up battle has been going, he has been very aggressive, but also made some horrible plays in my opinion calling off his stack very light. We were both three betting a majority of the pots pre and a lot of floating / three bets on flop. It was a tough match, which is why I got stuck a fair amount initially because there were a lot of tough decisions like this one with a style that i'm not really use to.
Do you snap call, timebank and call, or fold?

I eventually did felt him for everything a few hands later when he bluffed on river with K high vs my straight but thought this was an interestin hand and wanted some feedback.
Results are whited out incase you want to look, but i'd like some feedback on how everyone plays this hand being semi deepstacked vs a very weird playing style player. -
He makes a lot of plays, occasionally in very bad spots, but do you honestly think he's shipping it all in without a set of 7's or 5's here? I believe he has respect for my game and knows by my play after 2 hours that I most likely have a J as there was no value in an unraised pot to get deep with this flop and turn. I guess J7 and J5 are in his range as well as 77 and 55 since it wasn't raised pre but I just do not see how my J9 can possibly be good even if he is steaming at this point. I think the only way he overshoves like this so blatantly is that he's full.

Hey whats up mich? How you been man? I think this si a fold I honestly think this a mistake inducing bet by him meaning a bet to entice you if you have a J I fold here more often than not.

I think I call. If he has been aggressive wouldnt he check raise the turn with a full house to try and build the pot? I just dont see him having a full house here but you maybe outkicked with a hand like j10 jq or something. Im not folding unless I had a great read but with the info you gave us, im not folding.

Been good bud, I agree I just don't think there is any value in pushing 4x the pot on the river without a boat here. I'm 99% sure he has a boat and even if he didn't the 1% time that j9 is good there I think calling this is long term definetely -ev. It makes it a little harder fold just because of how swingy the session had been but I never regretted letting this hand go.
Catfish: Any decent J he will be raising preflop, pretty standard for heads up, and especially the way our match was going I believe. With the pot at approximately 90 or so and the fact that I believe I played the hand as if I had a J the whole way even with a pot bet on the turn why bluff 400 dollars on the river when there is a good chance I have a J if he is not full? The fact that its an unraised pot and the pot is still small given the stack sizes definetely plays a factor in his overpush. I'm honestly saying 97% of the time he has 55, 77, J7, or J5 (although I think he'd raise 55 and 77 pre given the above explanation as a decent J. I just don't see any value in a overshove bluff....I did earlier in the match shove 400 into a 230 pot and with 10's on a 3 4 5 10 3 board and got paid off by 56 which I thought the overbet definetely smelled fishy there and induced the call. -
That is what I was thinking I mean at leats you repped the J and he basically said J no good
