  1. On the bubble of 22 dollar 6 max.

I've been 3 and 4 betting a fair amount but not as aggressively as the villain.

  2. His 4 bet is 9% - You have a top 9 % hand. I would 3bet / call here almost always.
  3. 30big blinds with aggro raising , 3 and 4 betting regularly.

are you playing for 1st or to just make the buy in back. Get your $$$$ in with JJ there!!!!!! Scared money dont make money.

I play to make as much money as possible....are you considering the effect of a double up on your expected ROI vs. the effect of being the bubble boy?

Obviously he has been active but you've got an extremely SSS to work with...I think JJ is a fold and QQ is a call FWIW.
  5. Easiest snap call ever, why 3 bet the guy if ur gona be afraid of his 4 bets. I swear ppl Jst 3 bet without a clue what they are doing

Some people also haven't played 8k tournaments and do it for a living. I was under the impression that this was an area for debate and to get to grips with the intricacies of the game of poker not to be patronised.

FWIW in the Pokernews magazine I've been reading today there was similar question in the strategy section which gave a marginal fold. I just felt it was an interesting hand.

In the end I folded and he showed Kings.

  10. i apologise, i was rude in my response

the reason i 3 bet is either for value or to bluff. with a hand like jj im definately only 3 betting for value. wen we 3 bet fold hands we are basically bluffing with them, they have little to no value past taking the pot down pre.

if we do not want to 3 bet call, the best way to extract value with a hand as strong as jj is to flat. here we underrep our hand and keep our villain playing a wide range.

in the given situation, the villain is playin loose preflop an reacting to aggression (4 betting 3 bets etc) , this shows he will be 4 betting us wide, id put his range at 88+ a10+ an a lot of broadways, this makes jj a snap call. the fact u folded jj here shows that 4 betting wide here works a lot an the tyms he gets it in bad are made up by the times u fold an he wins a big pot

the fact he shows kk has no bearing on my decision and i still think it is a snap call

hope this makes sense and makes up for me being patronising. i still agree with my original post 100%

Cheers for that and I really appreciate the response. It does fill the gaps in thought and I agree what you said about the result being irrelevant. Maybe I was more worried about being on the bubble than I should.

  12. 9% 4bet? thats like some nits PFR range. JJ is top ~3% hand, get it in happily here. It could be slightly more interesting if your stack was closer to his, but with 25k and blinds so high just get it in with a smile here.
