  1. UTG player had been rather loose with lots of Limp and then call of raises. Sox had been tight and Im pretty sure his preflop raise represents 1010+ as well as Suited AQ+. Im not sure if I played this right. I missed a couple opportunities for information. So i decided to fold figuring UTG player would probably make the call. Any thoughts?

  2. "his preflop raise represents 1010+ as well as Suited AQ+"

I am sure AQo is in his range aswell lol.

This is a very interesting spot, I probably just 3 bet him pre flop b/c there is some dead money in the pot from UTG limper and salspr (limped). You're oop in this pot and calling against the preflop aggressor with 2 other people in the pot puts you in a REALLY tough spot with JJ. My line is to make it 475 or more pre and obv re-evaluate your odds if shoved upon. Your line, I would take early in a SNG, but with your stack in this MTT you wanna be pushing the action and not spewing chips.
  3. I like your thoughts. Im 100% sure if I make it 475 pre then he is either calling or shoving. I figured it was less spewy to just make the call and essentially set mine. Thanks for your input.

  4. Repop to 600 pre, call shove from either WATiffiny or Sox.

blindly stack off with JJ pre in the first level of a tourny with no info at all...?

  6. Youre not stacking off.. You have him outchipped more than 2 to 1.. I think the point of having a huge chip stack is you have the ability to make calls like this and even if your wrong you still have plenty of ammo but if your right you have tons more leverage.. Easy Call.
  7. Fink beat me to it, how is this blindly stacking off?
  8. Thanks for the info AFink. I respect your opinion. Admittedly this tourney is a bit higher than my normal buyin level since I was staked. I was kinda unsure what to think of this hand. At the time I like my chipstack but I definately didnt use it to my advantage.

uhh no, you have no info on their hands at all...this is an easy fold on the flop

  10. Seems like your playing a bit scared IMO.. Small pre-flop raise with 1 limper and you check the flop.. Dont be scared just because its a 109 buy in.. And its not your money so who cares. Play all out..
  11. lol...play all out? does that mean just sticking in 40 BBs every time you have a pocket pair?

  12. So every time he has an overpair to the board he should check fold? You think the person shoving this hand is shoving a set or QQ+.. Wouldnt they like to extract some value out of it? I thought you were supposed to be aggressive in this game? Raise to 200 pre> Lead the Flop like 3/4 pot or what not.. Then if you get Raise and a Shove then you can probably find a fold.. I dont find a fold here.. Sorry..
  13. its not like hes check folding HU...he checked, someone bet close to pot and someone else overshoved huge...theres a difference between being aggressive and just putting chips in for the sake of putting chips in

  14. Also the Shover is a good player.. Definatly could be squeezing lightly..

sdahf;almksdflkscmf;oawr......you are tilting me so hard...what he did isnt even a squeeze, wtf are you talking about...what would he be "shoving lightly" as someone described as really tight who opens TT+ and AQs+

  16. I actually misread the HH. I thought the OP did the intial raise to 150. My Bad.. Im sorry I tilted you so much oh great one. Its still a fucking call. Why shove AA-QQ there ?
  17. because someone lead pot into him on a drawy board...someone who has already been described as loose and cally? like wtf dude.

  18. I think both AFink and TheReal have good points to some extent. My thoughts were if I call here and the UTG calls as well then Im probably behind. Looking back after watching both players play a bit more. Im pretty sure it was a bad fold. UTG player was caught with horrendous hands and the shover Sox busted calling an allin with K10o in a three way pot.
Thanks for all the thoughts guys. Im still in 260 ppl left and I have a 10 bb stack...looks like its push fold for me.

  19. definately fold here
  20. Heres the bustout hands. I posted the first one just so you can see why anyone would call an open push with Q10o. What do you guys think of 1GIO play here and should i be folding 1010 here.

Good Luck the rest of the way man.. .

    really?

  24. lol @ that range when he only makes it 150 after a limper, like how do you have a big hand here and only make it 150?!?!?!?
this is likie the easiest 3bet to 600ish ever but im just a donk dont mind me

  25. You played this hand fine.
  26. Ya this is poker guys. Tough decisions are going to happen. Personally, this early with a bet and a shove before the action gets to me and I only have a pair of jacks I'm folding 95% of the time. If u think the guy shoving has like 99 or 10a or a j10 hand make the call. Either way its a gamble. Nothing wrong with you're fold. Any descent player talking general strategy here wont critisize your fold. Well played IMO.
