  1. I lost the hand......

Player 1 had 78 (unsuited) LOL... how in the heck he called I do not know and player 2 had kq(unsuited). I lost about $800 on the hand. After the hand I got up and left got in my car and drove home. I was happy I was able to leave rather than try to get that money back. After drinks , food and some craps I left the casino ahead about $1300.

I have thought about the hand alot and I think calling the turn may have been a better move. I coulda saved $500. It woulda been really easy to fold with board pair on the river.

  3. I think you shove precisely because they will try to draw to it and you will get paid. If you check/call on the turn and their draw does not hit, then you are not going to get paid. I want my money in good, making them pay and if they hit their 2-8 outers on the river, god bless them.

Loose guy in seat 2 was on flush draw. Seat 1 had AA, you still won the pot.
  4. sick
  5. So you were initially up 900 at that table and then you loss 800 on that one pot and then you were still up 1400 on the day, hummmmmmmm.
  6. lol he doesnt need to lie.

  7. he also said he was at a 1/2 nl earlier in the night.hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  8. ilovepairs,....
this is also a good example to show how one shouldn't really play cards like this (Q8s); had you thrown that hand away, you could have avoided this situation IMO...as i think those types of cards usually get you in trouble...as least you were up at the 1/2NL table...That's my favorite cash game in AC by the way...i see people blow thru a G note in a span of an hour or two, sometimes less. Just as you, i am up anywhere between 500-1100 in a matter of 3-4 hours playing 1/2NL...it amazes me how people play...actually, i love when people play that way.

  9. Not that Im defending Donovan for playing Q-8 OOP, but lets say that he was IN position. Someone raises, someone re-raises, action is on him...does that make the hand easier?

  10. "I had won like $1500 on the 1/2 nl game in about 4.5 hours prior to getting to the 2/5 nl so I was playing extra aggresive going for a big win on the night."

and I also he won $900 in 45 minutes of 2/5? <---this one is atleast believable

    - but still $900 in 45 minutes, the average hand live has to be around 2 minutes just a guess? so $900 in 20 hands, I am calling the bullshit card on the $1500 at 1/2
  11. lol you guys are rediculous...

  12. i wouldn't call this ridiculous....i have myself made over a G note in less than 2 hours or play at the 1/2 NL...i can be done without a doubt. a few times i've made 800 on one hand alone...again not ridiculous. 1/2NL can be a very profitable game, and it is. I have also seen players drop a grand in less than 30 minutes of play...this shit happens all the time, you just want to be in the pot with players like this at the right moment.
  13. I mean its rediculous that some people think iloveparis would be lying about it...

  14. u right super, i wasn't responding to your response to this post LOL...that's my bad...its for the other posters who think its not possible to make so much in such short time frame at the 1/2NL.
  15. the casino in my town only has 1/2 nl and the poker room is only open from 7-1:30 thursday to sunday. the city i live in is pretty much the richest city in canada (tons of oil) and as such theres a ton of guys (and some ladies) with alot of extra money. i've made 1200 in less then 4 hours there and have seen a guy sitting with 2600 at midnight.

it doesnt happen everytime i play there, but its definatly possible.

  16. can people stop saying G note.

i think it's always a shove in a normal game.. and you just got coolered.

sounds like you had a good night anywho.
