    Francix ?

I don't know much about these two guys, except that C.K plays some high limit HU SNG and is probably a skilled player.

  2. I would raise it up, cause by the huge preflop raise I would put Roberts34 on a high pocket pair.
  3. shove shove shove and then shove some more
  4. C.K. will only do this weak lead with a set. It screams Repop me!!!! and he knows that. Your set is no good. Ez fold and it didnt cost u any chips after the flop.

  5. I think pretty easy Shove here IMO.........

you DEF have Roberts beat....he pumped it so hard pre that he doesnt have 33 or 99......and would C.K. lead out at that flop with a set, knowing that Roberts is def gonna bet hard....not likely.

  6. Just unlucky if its set over set and I still push

  7. ya the chips you're going to win when roberts calls ur push w AA KK outweigh the chips you're gonna lose when CK has a set. i shove
    d

  8. I'm shoving all day here.

  9. I ended up doing this

    Francix: calls 650
    C.K.: raises 2952 to 3602 and is all-in
    Roberts34: folds
    Francix: folds

My read was also that Roberts had an overpair and C.K has most probably a set. For some reasons, i decided to call the 650 because if by some Mircale CK was just weak leading to see if his hand was any good (something like 7s or the like) and would fold to Roberts reraise, the benefits would have been so good so it was worthing the call. After CK's shove, it was clear to me that i was beat, but then again, I've been wrong before.

What do you guys think of the 650 call?

  10. C.K. has more than roberts so hes winning all the chips if he has a higher set. I'm still shoving here, just unfortunate if you lose.
  11. LOL, that's what I think.

  12. I don't like the call at all because you had a feeling he was going to reshove on top so you were just dumping off those chips. I just shove before and hope C.K. has a flush draw and folds.
  13. Here's my $0.02.

If I am C.K. and I have a set I'm not leading this flop (I will sometimes weak lead with a set but this is not one of those times) since he is shutting you of the pot with all but monster hands. He knows Roberts will bet almost always when checked to here and he'd give you a chance to check-raise and if you fold then he can check-raise/check-call. I think this is a far better way to play a set in this spot.

So with that said, I ship it here and say meh on the few occasions that one of them does have a set. Set over set always sucks though.
  14. ck has 33 or 45cc. take ur pick. if theres ever a time not to stack off with a set its here, cause CK horrible and obv his plan all along is to bet/3bet allin .

  15. I don't fold sets in that spot. I think it was Doyle that said if he has a higher set then it wasn't meant to be.

  16. A weak lead from a good player (or at least a winning player) is one of the most transparent signs of strength there is. CK is basically telling you his hand with that bet like an idiot. With that said, folding a set is always difficult, but If there is any time to fold a set it is here.
  17. Also, as far as weak leads with a set go, this makes no sense. The pot is 615 after the flop. Bet 120??? He knows Francis will raise this to 600-800. If his plan was to bet/3-bet shove then he's leaving far too much fold equity for himself. He wants to commit Francis with an overpair. Leading for 300-500 makes more sense if you have a set here. But maybe C.K. knows something I don't. I heard he's bad (in a bad way).

All this theory applies to the original post and action. Given the subsequent action, it does look like you're beat though.
  18. Thx everybody for your help.

I am sure enough he had a set and my fold was the right play. I am still not sure about the 650 call.

  19. the 650 call is terrible, you put in way too much of your stack to then fold. You have to decide if you are going to go all in before you make hte 650 call, either fold to the 650 or call the shove.
  20. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ for sure......

can never justifying calling 650 and folding for the rest of your chips

  21. The 650 call was terrible. Absolutely terrible. If you planned on riding the hand to the end and hoping for a few more chips in the pot, it was still a bad call. Reraise or fold. Your only two options.

The best option - not getting into a hand with 22 in the first place. You played them to set mine and wussed out. Terrible play. If you fear that overset so much, don't get involved in the first place. You most likely folded from a flush draw and AA/KK, not a set. If he had a larger set, so be it. Suck it up and count yourself unlucky.

  25. I dont understand anything that was just said by CK
  26. It's pretty clear to me. He's just trying to say that people should enjoy respect more the other players, and that he's not playing poker for 8 years as a sucker with a quality of life huge above us guys that he'll bet millions.

Translation: "I need to get off the crack rock."
  27. lmfao no doubt lay off it
  28. I would be raising to 2000 here and trying to play as big a pot as possible. although reraising all in may look like you have the FD and are trying to get maximum Fold equity along with the chance of hittin your draw if called. Either way, raise it up and dont raise small and give away the fact that you absolutely love your hand.
