Sooooo...this is like 9 or 10 hours into the tournament. I am top 25 of 180 remaining, and kidzero is top 5. When I reraised preflop I was planning on calling a shove from bdubs as he had just gotten 3 bet and forced to muck on the previous hand. Kidzero was playing very aggro, not spewy necessarily, but very aggressively. He had recently shown down a hand where he barreled 3 streets on a K33J8 board with Q2o and got looked up by 66. By the way he like instajammed here after bdubs folded.
Against a standard nit I think this is always like QQ+ but the way kid was playing I think his range was more like 88+ and MAYBE (albeit very rarely) a bluff, because he knows I need a huge hand to call. Do you call or fold here and why. -
I call because of the range you assigned him and his playing tendencies that you outlined.

what up mark! didnt c how u finished yet..ill check after my reply
didnt c u at borgata either...
anyway...i think it depends if u wanna race for ur tourney life here. ur almost never dominated here. and almost always racing or imo it could be the same hand or even AQ
i call, lose the race and lose sleep for a few days cuz i run bad deep. but maybe u fold and wait for a better spot..would like to here opinions here -
tru..girlfriends and poker dont mix real well..
i ran KK into AA in the $560 early..out
almost final tabled 2nd chance cash that nite..240 people...end up 15th tho..boooo
killed cash, but no big tourney wins. gonna play at the club and mountaineer for a few months.
saw u busted on this hand..ul...but i think the right call....gotta play ftw -
Tuff spot MT. But only because of the tournament structure. This would be an easy call in any normal online tourney as my calling range in that spot is probably any pair plus some suited connectors, AQ, AK so you are really only taking way the worst of it against AA and as someone pointed out, play for the win. In this structure you can afford to lay it down . You still have 50 BB and that is a very playable stack so no need to risk your life in this marginal spot. I disagree with the person who said that you aren't likely to be dominated so you should play. I think the BEST case is: you aren't dominated. I wound up short the second day and was able to play a 20 BB stack into a 60 BB stack simply by playing really tight. I have sympathy for you. I was in the SB with JJ 7 Handed 15 left . UTG raised . I had 40 BB. He had 45. BB had us both covered. Like a fool I reraised and had it shoved back into my face by the raiser. I was now kinda forced to call. Luckily I was in a race. Unluckily I lost it. Flatcalling was the way better play. No need to risk stack there. PLUS you have the added bonus of BB squeezing. Then you would be the shover. BTW I never said I wouldn't call with your hand:)

Here's the math. Given the range you put me on ( I am going to throw out bluffs cause I had just shown down Q2 and you didnt think I was spewy) 88-QQ 30 cases ( 6 ways to make a pair) you will win 13.5 and lose 16.5 ( 45-55%)
KK AA 6 cases . you will win 1 and lose 5.
So against pairs you will win 14.5 times and lose 21.5 times 1.5 to 1. Exactly what the pot was laying you . You are a tiny dog against my AK cause 2 out of 9 cases will be suited. So calling is breakeven and not worth risking your tournament life.
So what do you call with? Clearly with JJ. You will be dominated alot more times but you will dominate an equal amount of times 88-1010 vs. QQ-AA but you pick up alot against AK where you are 57-43 AND the pot is laying you 1.5 to 1. Your EV is about 90000 chips. You have a very slight negative EV with 1010 so fold is correct .
