First pot with villain. He came to the table with that stack. This bet just doesn't fit in with how he's played (he hasn't gotten out of line as far as what he's shown in other pots)... I was hoping just to check/call a reasonable bet, but this threw me off.

I think you should have bet the river, as a blocking/value bet. As played I guess you should fold.
