  1. Villain has been pretty solid, haven't seen him do anything out of line, and I've been at the table for quite a while. Based on chat he views me as spewy. We are pretty deep and i was fairly certain that he had an overpair and I felt i could just call and still get payed off based on his view of me. My plan was to call almost any turn, but I didn't like the turn because I think it took some of my outs, and his bet was fairly big. I decided to just fold. Thoughts? WWYD

  2. raise flop

  3. Get it in on the flop. The call is super bad imo.

  4. I don't understand why I'm getting it in on the flop knowing that he has an overpair. Why gamble with these stack sizes?

#1 i dont know how u can "know" he has an overpair based on a preflop raise and 1 flop bet, its defenitly a likely holding but i doubt we can put it at 100%

#2 even if u are correct and he has an over pr

  6. I agree, and, as played, by not raising flop you had no idea where you were in the hand.

  8. top pair flushdraw is a fav over and overpair. i like raising flop. calling turn isnt bad either. he might just be double barreling knowing that the flop misses most hands and that the 3 most likely didnt change the flop.

i like raise flop best, then call shove.

But, yea raising is better because worst case we are racing, best case he has shit and folds or he has something and folds.
  10. i think folding the turn here is bad for a number of reasons.

And building on this, you are favored on the flop. However, if you are 52% to win the hand from flop/river, your only about 26% to hit the turn. However, on the turn, when you miss, you now can face another huge bet (looking like you have a flush draw with your call), and then be priced into folding.

It's why I think you need to take advantge when your ahead. I agree a 3 is a bad card, but a 2clubs really isn't a good card for you in this spot, and you can't be excited to be paying off that same bet if that hit.

  12. raise/get it in on flop
  13. ur a favorite against an overpair brah, the only hand we dont want to see is a set, and even so we still have outs.

    raise it up.
