Hey guys,
What do you think of making plays like this, hoping that it looks like you are stealing a pot that you should be splitting. Note: I timed banked for like 20 seconds.
In my opinion he'll probably call most raises, but he'll never re-pop, so I tried to represent a steal. What do you guys think? Like the play or not?

Villain made a horrible call, but don't mind your shove here as even if he only calls it a very small percentage of the time, you are getting alot more value than making it a small re-raise.
NH btw. -
Yeah, that was my thought process too! I was praying for a baby flush, haha. Congrats on your 5th anniversary btw :)

Out of curiosity, what was the buy-in here? Seems pretty spew to call off with just a straight here, unless he puts you on spaz shove with air. At best he is chopping with alot at risk. Still like the play, but will like it even more if buyin is $20 or less.

Thanks on the congrats :) Feel free to post in that thread if you have any questions as its turned into a mini-well of sorts. :) Will probably hit another milestone today or tomorrow with my 5555th post (double pocketfives ;) ) -
Yep, you'll be happy then. It was the nightly $1 Rush rebuy. I normally play in the $5-10 range, but this tourney is just so fun, everyone gets super, super deep stacked and you'll often see 100+ BB all in pre-flop. I really enjoy playing it though!!!

Like the play even more in a $1 Rush tournament. And looks like you are right being more than half your table is 100bbs deep at 600/1200.

i like the play esp on that board; if he s rly stupid he might call a str8
however, i dont know about timebanking 20 seconds; in villains shoes i d be more scared to call u if u timebanked that much
i d pause like a few seconds only
but i def understand if others dont agree- it might be only my twisted mind
