Interesting WPT hand that i read incorrectly and at one time thought was a slowroll before discovering the board paird on the river thread

    EDIT: OK, my bad. DIdnt see the board paird the first time i read it.. still sucks for joe though.

    Shi jia Liu Doubles Through Joe Sebok

    With 135,000 in the pot and the board showing 532Q on the turn, Shi jia Liu checks from late position, Joe Sebok bets 65,000 from the cutoff, and Liu calls. The river card pairs the board with the 3, Liu bets 110,000, Sebok moves all in, and Liu (with 250,000 behind) goes into the tank for several minutes.

    At one point, Liu says, "I can only beat a bluff." He thinks a bit longer, and then says, "I call." Liu turns over A9, and Sebok is frozen, unwilling to turn over his cards. He says, "Nice hand," mucks his cards, and starts counting out his chips. Sebok mentions to nobody in particular that he had a smaller flush.

    After the hand, Shi jia Liu increases his stack to about 990,000, while Joe Sebok drops down to about 530,000.

    I don't know about a slowroll. The board was paired. He might have thought Sebok had a boat.

    I really feel bad for Joe, he really wants this TV FT and it seems to be happenening again. Hopefully he can right the ship and get this thing done.

    wtf, that's not a slow, semi-slow, or any other kind of roll. Liu got raised all in on the river when Sebok obviously couldn't hold the nut flush. If I'm Liu I'm not exactly overjoyed to see Sebok's all in raise there either.
