Having just won a SNG (not a brag post) with my internet connection going between 0 and 4% connectivity, I feel inclined to post about it. So I'm heads up, villian has basically $7000 to my $2000 with blinds at 100/200 and he's very pushy, so I've had to fold some marginal hands. I pick up 88, he raises and I push. What happens? My internet connection dies. I come back just in time to see the cards and I WON! Great, I'm up in chips now. Well for the next 5-6 minutes, my internet proceeds to jump from 0 to 4% on stars and I'm getting pissed off because I may have this match won. Finally I decide to let the guy steal my blinds freely while I disconnect the cable modem and restart it. I come back to see I'm down chips, but not too badly. I then proceed to win the damn thing. Thank god it was a low stakes SNG.
Now, my reason for posting? Tell me of any stories you've had regarding this. I know there are some of you out there that have had this happen in much more important tournaments. -
I've had this happen a few times. Its good to have a wireless connection and a "friend" you can steal some bandwith from in case of such an emergency. :D

A couple of my stories from before I invested in a new wireless card.
1. HU sng, I had the nut straight on the turn, he went all in and I timed out just to see him win the big pot.
2. Get dealt AA but unable to play it due to connection problems in a multi. Turned out one guy had KK and flopped a K.
3. Keep timing out in a turbo sng only to tilt all your opponents, definitely provokes some fun chat. Eg. "Can't they afford proper modems in Norway?"
Basically, it can go both ways, but obv +EV to have a stable connection.

I was playing a sng and got disconnected when i had AA. Some guy had JJ and would have doubled me. I get pissed so when i get reconnected I shove A8 on the button. SB reshoves with QQ, BB shoves KK. I flop an A and end up winning it.
