I found this article on the Fox News website. And it's actually a good read about online gaming.

Very interesting read.

I hope that all PRO poker players along with the avid recreational players are preparing for what will be required to overcome this. I am not sure how fast this process will progress, but I feel certain it won't be long before our ability to play will be severely limited. They are attempting to shut down the funds transfer process (interestingly enough this is the same tactics they are using to shut down terrorist, so I guess they lump us all in the same boat together).
A class action suit that takes our cause to the supreme court will be the only remedy once the bills are in place. I for one am ready to contribute to this cause. I like where I live and I do not want to have to move to Vegas or some other gambling friendly city to do what I can currently do from my home. -
"the anti-gambling crusader Mr. Goodlatte, interestingly enough, has taken some $10,000 in campaign contributions from the National Thoroughbred Racing Association"
"The funny thing is, online gaming sites are begging to be legalized and regulated. A better approach would be to allow them to set up shop in the U.S., contribute to the U.S. economy, be regulated by U.S. markets, and be subject to U.S. courts.
Of course, that approach would require Congress to treat Americans as adults, and understand that we ought to be free to spend our own money as we please. Even in ways some morally crusading Congressmen happen to find distasteful."
thanks for the link -
I didn't mean to imply that Fox puts out a crappy product. I have worked in broadcast news for 14 years and I have tons of respect for Fox News. By it being a "good read" I meant that
everything I have read outside of the poker sites has been very negative about online gaming, and it was nice to see something that didn't mention little timmy stealing his moms credit cards.
Sorry about the poor sentence structure. The original post has been edited.
