Well since there are a lot of these threads for other sites, and some of the ideas seem to get actioned, I thought it would be a good idea to suggest some improvements that could be made to the Ipoker network. Hopefully someone reads this and implements some of them, given that they are now the 4th or 5th biggest site.

1. Fix the MTT blind structure! This is the most important for me. It is way too fast! I dont mind having no antes, but it just becomes such a crap shot by the end of the first hour in standard tournies. Even rebuys and double stacks dont help that much. Just as an example, last night I played a $5r on stars and $7r on Ipoker that started at the same time. A bit over 2 hours in, the blinds were 300/600/25 on Stars, and 1200/2400 on Ipoker, with starting stacks, rebuys and addons being almost identical. It just leads to no poker other than push/fold being played for the majority of the tournament, as even the chip leader only has 20bbs max most of the time.

2. Resizeable tables would be great, the normal view is massive, and the mini view is too small, particularly if running a HUD. Or some sort of medium view?

3. When you get moved to another table, dont have the new table pop up in a totally different location and make you have to click 2 seperate boxes to be able to get to it. Such a pain when multi-tabling, especially when using multiple monitors and it always pops up back on the other screen.

4. Likewise, do we really need popups telling us "Your tourney is about to start", then "Your tourney is starting", then "Taking you to your table" ??

5. Timebank would be great!

6. Double rebuys, or at least being able rebuy twice after the last hand of a rebuy. Having 1500 + 2000 is not so good at 100/200 or whatever it is after the first break after investing 5 or more rebuys. (may have been fixed recently??)

7. Seperate tourney lobbies for each tournament. It is painful not being able to look at the normal lobby until you have closed the tourney one you are in.

8. Provide data for results to be tracked on OPR or ThePokerDB or whatever. The data is obviously released to P5s and whoever else to do tourney tracking, as well as to Sharkscope for SNG tracking, so why not to one of these sites?

9. A reasonable minimum buyin for cash games. The amount of super shortstackers on this network is ridiculous, and it ruins the game. Some tables that have at least a 40-50bb minimum would be good.

10. The player note system sucks! Every time you go to write a note on someone, another screen takes the focus, meaning you then have to reclick on the player, go to the end of the line where you were typing, and finish it. Repeat like 4 times for a long note. Just have a right click, popup in new window thing like most other sites.

(FTR I play on titan, so if any of these things are different on other skins, please let me know!)

So over to everyone else, suggest some ways to make ipoker better....

Do you mean disconnecting? Because I cant remember any that I have had there. They seem fine to me, especially compared to say Ongame.

1. If they are gonna slow down the structures some (and I do agree that would be good), I think they have to start some of the tournaments a bit earlier or else many of them would last until early morning.

2. I'd like a good resizable table with fullscreen like full tilt (not the silly stars variant).

6. You do have double rebuys, but not if you lose all your chips in the last hand before the addon break. That is annoying. Also i would like to see auto rebuy/double rebuy and addon options. Especially addon as you might miss those if you have to run to the toilet or are playing 10 tables.

8. I think all poker sites should just announce a web service address where you could get the tournament result feed. It's nothing that needs to be restricted or kept private really.

9-10. Haven't got much of an opinion on this...

11. Themes would be good. Not everyone likes the colors of the various iPoker sites. I for instance changed from Noble to titan a couple of years back as the sand coloured rug on Noble gave me a headache *lol*

I agree with most of the points. My personal pet hate on ipoker is the relocation of the table when you move couple with the "taking you to your new table" messages etc.

The structure of their tournies is indeed terrible, and a year ago i'd have been lobbying for better structures. These days i don't really care, people on there play terribly with short stacks, folding down to 1 or 2 bbs, and games don't last as long, meaning i can play more games, meaning more $$$.

For the 3rd largest site on the net they don't actually have that many tournies worth playing. I play 3 on there most days, sometimes 4, whereas on supposedly smaller sites i play 9 or 10 tournies a day with similar prizepools to the 3 i play on ipoker.

ipoker is the greatest, proper time bank would be good for cash players though

I agree with alot of the suggestions, I also think they need to make the saved HH's easier to read like stars and tilt does, would be nice to review them just using a normal text editor. (betfair even provides you with a separate poker buddy for HH's)

Other than that I like ipoker, and since William Hill will be joining them in January 2009 they should end up having more traffic than full tilt.

Definitely agree with 9 and 10. Need more space for notes, too!
