guess ill be heading back to the little leagues...i cant take anymore bitching about the money i won....gonna cause me to end up broke and broken hearted...took me 3 fuckin years to get a 5 figure score so i could have a decent bankroll to work with....but she isnt having any part of it...and even her mother is going on about what i need to do with MY money ...so i guess ill be going back to $3 turbos and $8.80 shoot outs...it was fun while it lasted...

lol @ telling them about the $
-
gl......who wears the pants in this relationship?
-
wh-CHH
-
What's the worst thing on a woman? A drunken Irishman.
-
You don't know how many times I've seen this movie.. For me it's not about not wearing the pants.. When you have a family, sometimes there are more important things than a bigger bank roll.. and wifey has NO problem reminding me of that.. "In the game of life, women are the rake.. They are the fucking RAKE!!!!!!!!!!"
-
offer to split between family stuff and bankroll?
-
My girlfriend doesn't understand the concepts of being able to win at poker. I gave up trying to explain it to her. She was raised by her grandma and her grandma says that she likes me but she thinks that I need to get help for my gambling problem.
-
grow some balls hoe
-
LOL women are hard to work with...i tell ppl who ask me how poker is and they always say you are addicted or don't get addicted blah blah blah. How can I be addicted when I don't play everyday and I still win? lol.
-
cleverly disguised brag post in my opinion
congrats on the score -

Just don't tell your woman about it. I just give my wife a little bit here and there if I hit something nice and tell her that I cashed some out. That keeps her from bitching at me about playing and she doesn't really know how much I have online. Pretty simple really.
This method should keep them off your back and allow you to play without being bitched at as long as you are still giving the woman some attention and not playing every free second. -
Some of your responses are funny... When most of you get married or have a family you will understand what a few have said...
I have a few nice online scores and a few live ones... I have kept one secret and that was the most recent live one and why CUZ SHE WASNT THERE....
She can be sound asleep, and when I start the Final Table the smell of Money is in the air and she is sitting next to me ghosting the entire FT... NOw dont get me wrong she doesnt complain about me playing 5 nights a week but the second I win or am out she has calculator in hand figuring what credit card she will pay off...
LOL there is no such thing as a bankroll when you have a family.... -
pics of mom

Wow, what a pushover to let your girlfriend's mom take your poker winnings. GG manhood
-

Anyway, OP, maybe...I dunno...try something like...um....oh...a compromise? Like say..leave a nice chunk of change online for playing and take some off and put it into...whatever it is she's griping about...that way, you still have a decent roll and she's happy - God knows if she's happy...you're happy. /problem. -
By the sounds of it you probably have joint accounts...take note fellas...seperate savings accounts and a joint account for mortgage and bills, I cant tell you how much grief this has saved me relative to friends that have gone the opposite route. Once you consolidate your assests in the same accounts you have give the green light for pure ownage and she will feel naturally entitled to every last shred of your dignity. You will be laced with "I feel" statements and given a lecture on the definition of a partnership. It really isnt about contributing to the family either, its about contributing on fair terms.
kind of like taking on a backer that scoops 90% of your winnings :) -
Had a similar experience with my 5 figure score (WSOP step 6) earlier this year. I'm married with 2 kids. My wife wanted me to take it ALL out back down to where I was when I played the step 1 that led to the big win, which was under $200 and which is what I used to do when I got my roll to 4 figures. Told her she was nuts. We settled on me buying 52" HDTV and keeping enough in my account so I could move up in games safely (thanks for the bankroll management articles I could show her). Rest went for her, the kids and the house.

For goodness sakes man, keep 100 buy ins for the $10 level at least!!
-
Sorry to hear it man. As far as a lot of the responses in this thread are concerned. OP is def not a pushover as far as I can tell (and I know him a little bit). He just has his prioritees in order. Tough break, you'll be back in the game before you know it. GLGL.

how about u grow a pair and tell her how its going to be. wow she's got u by the balls. way to just sit there and do nothing about it. wp sir
