  1. I am referring to Full Tilt's Sit-N-Go Madness.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone but this is one of the worst promotions they have.

(and for the record I am a huge FT fan and 98% of the time it's where I play)

There is no possible way the average SNG player can benefit from this other than winning a few and getting into the raffle. There are SNG maniacs out there that are 10-12 tabling on a daily basis. How can you compete with that?? The average player can't.

With the way this promo is structured, all it does is feed the fish to the sharks.

I know the SNG specialists are licking their chops whenever this promo comes up.

I know you are all going to say, "Then don't play", which is fine but that reverts back to my original question - "Isn't the point of a Promo to benefit everyone"?

Every single promo FT has for it's players, is for all it's players -- except this one.
  2. Well, they are trying to attract customers to their business so they can make money. I have no idea what the details of that promotion are (link?), but I would guess a poker site like Full Tilt makes a LOT of money via rake from the "sng maniacs" you mentioned. If they can run a promotion that attracts these players from other sites, they stand to increase their revenue substantially. Where is it stated (or inferred or understood) that promotions on poker sites should be for all players?
  3. It is somewhat naive to assume that a promotion should benefit everyone. Look at all the new international promotions they are running. They usually don't benefit everyone, only the region the promotion is targeting. The Iron Man promotion only benefits high volume players.

Promotions are designed to benefit the owners of the website and stimulate the customers to spend more money. They target a certain demographic or product to generate more revenue. If this is a -EV promotion for you then you don't have to participate.

On that note it would be nice if they would run more promotions that benefit the average recreational players, but a first deposit bonus is as close as it's gonna get.
  4. Business Marketing rule number 31.2.3.6

All business marketing promotions shall benefit all people equally.

Yep. You are correct, sir. I found this rule in the Business Marketing rulebook. Bastards. What do we do now?
  5. Well take a look at the pokerstars SnG leaderboard which starts on Sunday. It looks awesome and will give EVERYONE a fighting chance to win!

  6. We'll be serving cheese shortly to go along with the whine.
  7. It it brings more profit to the site they have every to run whatever promo they want. You may not but alot of low volume players will play more because of this promo which equals more dollars for the site

BTW the prizes ain't that great, most high volume players could care less.
  8. On second thought...

This is a great promotion if you are a solid SnGer because there are SOOOO many fish that just play crazy in these things and they are so much easier than the regular SnGs. I'm not a high volume SnG grinder (2-4 tables max) but I'm definitely going to participate in this because there will be lots of fish.
  9. The fish have been killing me in this promotion, but I will try once again and donate some to the community
