  1. I've met some brilliant people; I've persevered from multi-deposit-donk to a successful part time player; I've spent waayyy too much time on this kickass site; I've gotten far too far out of shape; I've learned to "master" one of the most awesome, intellectually stimulating adventures of my life; and, I've met some great friends.

Maybe some day, our government will come to realize that we are adults--we are capable of making our own decisions about what is in our own best interests...

Until then, I leave you with a little diddy from two of our favorite lyricists from 2006, Daniel Powter and tuff_fish.

  24. I 100 percent agree with Ape, I really have no clue why people have such a Doomsday approach to this, if you think the incredibly smart people who are involved in this industry CANNOT find a way around the current restrictions, then you really need to get a clue.
  25. I can't say it any better than nip/tuck did:

    <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td>Re(2): Straight Answer, is it banned??
by nip/tuck on 9/30/2006 08:35 </td><td><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td><nobr> </nobr> </td><td><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table> </td></tr></tbody></table> </td></tr></tbody></table> THe real problem is the PRECEPTION of illegality and the added DIFFICULTY of depositing for all the casual players will limit the number of fish. The sites will have less players and the players that they do have will be more experienced. It will become even more difficult to make money.

  26. I really want to make this my myspace song...

  27. awesome!!
  28. I think that will def. be a problem in the short run, but think about it from a historical perspective, has prohibition really worked, ever? I really cant think of a successful example of prohibition, in the short run obviously the traffic on sites will take a hit and everyone will freak out, but I will be monumentally surprised if 2 months from now there are not numerous ways to access all the major sites from inside the US. People find a way around these blue laws, whether it be bootlegging during Prohibition, or the illegal drug trade today, people find a way, and I just have faith the same will hold true for online poker. Maybe im wrong, but I hope not.
  29. hands down post of the year.....everyone else just give up
