I love going through responses in this thread from year to year, so let's get it started. Title sums it up, who do you think will breakthrough in 2010? Whether it's unknown to known, known to elite status, or even bring the haterade stating who you think will drop off. Here are a quick few picks off the top of my head.

icudonk/fish - Very solid player, even better person. Works hard on his game and has big things coming. I really can't think of anyone more deserving. 2010 is year of the icu IMO.

manchvegaspwn - doubt i've ever searched his name on full tilt without pulling up at least 25 tournaments. sick volume + solid player = big 2010.

whysocereus - don't know much about him irl or away from tables for that matter, but he does own me when i'm at his tables.

:) i have high hopes as well. Midway thru ill have graduated and will get to play full time so im lookin forward to the grind. 2010 just feels like a good year to me, i appreciate the optimism tho thank you hopefully you are right about ur predictions.

id like to officially jump on the gags bandwagon. other notables include mastap (does anyone get more 10th-45th in huuuuge fields than him?), funnygut and shanetrain.

oh and hopefully me. ive had no luck getting a job so if all goes to plan im going to go to grad school in september 2010. that means i can dedicate the first 8 months to working on my game and hopefully break through, dear god i want it badly

I predict that someone will get drunk or pissed off and will out several highly ranked players as having multiple accounts and/or for being underaged.

I predict that at least 2 people will win a Sunday major never before having a cash greater than $500.

I predict that someone who wins a major event worth over $100,000 will reneg on their backing agreement.

I predict that one of the minor poker sites will go under and the money will disappear.

I predict that there will be a great push for the proper reporting of taxes on poker winnings in the US (such that several high profile players will get in trouble).
