  1. This is going to be long, but it all needs to be covered.

My ex-roomie a small time grinder (http://www.pocketfives.com/profiles/theagentcrs) who I have known since childhood recently stole 4 thousand dollars from me when he got short on money. He was going to move to vegas with us but after this all went down I decided it was best he stay back home. My good friend and backer purecash25 told Cory (smailes10) that he would help him since times were tough and take his makeup and the debt he owed to me and back him until he made his money back. Just a few days later smailes10 won the 70k on stars for around 12k and was out of the hole. Cory then disapeared and after a week we were starting to get worried. We noticed that he deleted his facebook, changed his phone number, and didnt return home during this entire period. I have never witnessed such a dramatic change in someone my entire life. After talking to his father and getting his new phone number I finally got ahold of him and he had told me the money was all in his account and he just did'nt get around to sending it. I asked for his password to verify the money was in there and he gave it to me i logged in and saw that the money was in there and felt bad for accusing him of stealing. I then looked at his transaction history and saw that he had just cancelled a withdraw for the full amount! Purecash and I then quickly decided that we needed to protect his money as soon as possible considering Cory displayed not once but twice being completely able to steal. We decided the most appropriate form of action was to change Cory's password until Nick (Purecash) recieved his money. We also realized that we needed to change his email address to keep him from having the ability to change his detail back to the way the way they were. Our intentions were to get Nick his money and then return Cory access to his account.
Obviously there is no way for anyone to substantiate our claim but I will need this entire community to take us for our word. While niether of us are the most active members in the community we both have very good reputations and no track record of treachery. Smailes10 has even been trying to get Nick his money but both of our accounts have been frozen for changing his details. I don't really know what I am asking for but I feel that we have both been treated unjustly. The poker world is all I have to vouch for my integrity.

Nick and I have both made many large transfers with a lot of you guys out there. We have had several opportunities to steal very large sums of money from others but of course never have. It just doesnt add up. Pure plays 5k heads up sngs, and I have had a 500k plus year. Why would either of us risk not only our accounts but also our reputations over 12k.

Thank you all for reading this. Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Dude, paragraphs or cliff notes.
  3. free jakoon and pure cash..even tho i never beat either of them in hu sngs

  4. That sucks. F you scammers.
You should email stars support and explain yourself.

  5. I'm so sad to hear this. :( Is there anyway you can explain the situation to stars? For the record, I know Jason and Nick and Jason was really really upset about what Cory was doing. I am definitely going to email stars and I hope everyone else who knows these guys do so as well! Gl Jason and Nick. I hope you get your accounts unlocked soon!

This is what happens when thievery meets idiocy.
  7. I heard about this sounds like you were just protecting your interests , hope stars will listen to your explanation. I know that yall are both stand up guys not that I have any pull. Sucks to be dicked over by a friend. Hope yall get your moneyz back.
  8. hmm..changing someone else's password and email..granted he gave you the password but common sense would tell you why they are investigating it right? you may have valid reasons to actually change them but think about it why they are investigating..

second, how did they find out you actually changed the password and email? that's key btw..

You should have asked yourselves this question before you changed his password and email.
  10. This really is garbage. Why can't pokerstars just add up the math, its pretty simple to see what happened.

What really needs to happen is sites need to have some sort of function to help out backers and backees. Something so that Stars/Tilt know who is backed by who and what their "deal" is. Would be sweet, maybe it could even automatically transfer the %/make up after a score.

As far as this goes, they need to be unbanned this is awful.

  11. The problem you have is that you only had permission from the account holder to verify funds, but instead you basically broke into someone's account. You are going to need to get your sketchy friend back on your side to have any chance of resolving this well, I believe.

In any event, assuming the story is true, I wish you both the best of luck and hope you get your accounts back soon.
  12. obviously just a huge misunderstanding with stars support- i hope they reinstante both of your accounts immediately. yall are both two of the good guys in poker, no question about it

  13. This is all absurd....They are 2 legit guys...They need their accounts back

The thing is he seems to be completely on our side. He told us that he has emailed them trying to help us out.. the problem is I really don't know what the truth is with him anymore. What he tells me and what he actually does may be 2 completely different things.

So, basically he's on your side and you are still having trouble, or he's pretending to be on your side.... ouch. Either way that's pretty bad news. Ever consider having him post here in this thread in an effort to clear this up?
  18. this sucks. In general i have found stars good about resolving issues, just usually takes a while, GL guys

  19. jakoon is a stand up guy ...

  20. Ouchy...rough spot...
  21. damn that sickening

jakoon is def a good kid and always good to his word
obviously he wouldnt try to take some kids password and stuff to take some of his measely money ....he obviously has enough money....#1 in WV represent lol

this is ridiculous...anyways i hear of backers all the time knowing their password to their stakees accounts
    gl to both of u
im sure pstars will come to their senses and figure out what happened
they dont want to lose great players like both of you...and all that rake lol
  22. i mean if ur buddy is on y'alls side i dont see how this ban could stand, gl with it all and hopefully you get back soon to killing me at the tbls<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
  23. Having a first hand experience with this entire matter, I can vouch for the two of these guys to the fullest. Purecash and Jakoon are people I would trust my life with, great ambassadors to the game both online and live, and extremely honest. This injustice is completely undeserved and stars needs to recognize this and resolve it asap.

  24. i think your story is completely believable and you need to explain everything to stars with details.

However, i think the fact that you changed his password and email is just plain stupid and unethical.

From a backing perspective, the money is owed to you, but the account is rightfully his and you have no right to change the password.

Also why in the world would u risk this for a mere 12k when he plays 5k sngs

  27. When you were in his account why didn't you just say, "listen, you owe us 'X' and I'm going to transfer it to my account so we don't have to prolong this". If he said no, you stay in his account and figure out some solution, but really he has no legit reason to not allow you to take what is your money right then and there (esecially given the circumstances).
  28. title is a bit misleading as you did do something...but seems justified to me. i dont know you at all, but seems you guys got screwed by a bad friend, and i hope you get your account back. to me the 12k is a ton but to you its nothing, a bit confused as to why youd take the risk of changing his password and such....gl to you tho
  29. This post is LOL. Look, I understand ths situation you are in and it sucks, but to take the guy's account, change his password, change his email, try to take 12k that was in the account, and then to come to P5s and actually say you "got banned for nothing"...Really?

I understand you meant well and were just trying to get the money back that was rightfully yours/your friend's, but did you really expect to hijack his account like that and NOT have anything happen? You guys probably weren't thinking clearly because of anger, but this definitely was not a smart way to go about it.

I wish you the best of luck both in getting unbanned and getting the money back.

  30. I'll give you what I would do:

    1. Don't be obnoxious at all in dealing with stars, and if you were in the dealings in any way shape or form, apologize. Understand where they are coming from and within that framework try and get them to understand where you are coming from.

    2. Let them know you completely understand why they take what you guys did so seriously and just plead that you lost your head because of the situation. Don't try to justify what you did, basically just say you made a mistake and you are very sorry and although you understand the severity of what you did you feel their punishment is unfair given the circumstances. Obviously do this in a polite fashion as possible.

    3. Have some top respected guys vouch for you (if possible)

    4. If the friend's Dad is a decent human get him involved and try and get your friend to at least explain to stars he's in the wrong and given the circumstances he put you in a spot where you did something pretty stupid. Explain the fact that this guy changed all his facebook, email, phone, etc. and had stolen from you. Whatever tactics you use are up to you, but threats are probably not the best way to go, appeal to his remaining sense of decency with whatever help possible from the father.

So, basically just admit you did something stupid, be polite apologize profusely and beg for forgiveness. Ask them what they need from you to make the situation right. If they turn you down don't go nuts, just try again in a month and politely ask for them to rethink this decision, repeat persistenly and politely.

    Thoughts?
