  1. I have been active in the last orbit, but I haven't done anything too crazy so my image is ok.
    Arsenal = 10/10 10hs
    Lucky = 10/10 10hs also

    I don't give Aresenal's LP 3b too much credit given that I have been active and he can certainly 3b me wide from the CO here. Lucky is not 4b shoving here too wide, but we need 39% equity:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 52.926% 52.07% 00.86% 390485988 6456606.00 { JJ }
    Hand 1: 47.074% 46.21% 00.86% 346589952 6456606.00 { 88+, AQs+, KQs, AQo+ }

    VS more conservative range...

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 44.196% 42.93% 01.27% 198463956 5865834.00 { JJ }
    Hand 1: 55.804% 54.53% 01.27% 252126456 5865834.00 { TT+, AQs+, AKo }

    Based on the above, I think it's a pretty easy re-shove, and we just say 'GG' if Arsenal/Lucky has us beat.

    Thoughts on my ranging here?

  2. It really depends on how much emphasis you put on your image. I don't think your image is so loose that your UTG+1 open has been 3-betted that light or 4-betted light. I think you are giving your opponents too little credit, and I would fold the JJ here.
  3. Get it in. if your GG then sign up for the next mtt. You cant only justify the numbers you said for yourself your image isnt to bad. if he's lucky then great!

    I'm not UTG+1. Also, do you really think the BTN only shoves QQ+, AK? What do you think he is doing with 99/TT/AQs?

    Well that hurt, just my opinion.

    My misread about position sorry, if your pushing me I'd say Lucky might be shoving with JJ+, AK/AQ+.
    99 and TT look a lot weaker when you see an open and a re-raise in front of you.

    I still don't understand in your OP:
    "I have been active in the last orbit, but I haven't done anything too crazy so my image is ok."

    "I don't give Arsenal's LP 3b too much credit given that I have been active"

    If your image is alright, then give Arsenal's 3-bet some more credit. In your OP and response, you completely discount Arsenal's range as being possible to ever beat you.

    Also, you say you need 39% equity, however we don't know how Arsenal will act, so i think it is wrong to place too much emphasis on pot equity since we don't know if we will be three handed all in or not. If Arsenal does shove, although we will have better pot odds, he will probably have us beat.
  6. With only 245 invested im getting out of the way here. I think youre beat by one of them quite often.
  7. easy fold no way ur good here. id like to find a better spot to get my shit in then hoping im fliping at best.

    Apologies - I was in a shitty mood at the time. You make some good points regarding my post. I simply meant that I had been active, and therefore we could open arsenal's range a little bit. Also, regarding 39% - you are completely right. My action is not the last, so this isn't actually what we may need.

    Haven't encountered a spot like this too many times. I just gave them too little credit, because generally I give them too much! There's not really any dynamics here to be confident that our perceived range is wide when we open. Arsenal had not 3bet me before. Lucky had not been active. For whatever reason, I felt that their ranges were wider than they actually are.

    As razor says, we are flipping at best, and therefore often dominated - often by Lucky (had QQ) and sometimes Arsenal (AA). I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being results oriented, but I've learned another lesson here. Thanks everyone.

No problem, its always nice to see your name in the PD forum because your posts always make me think and I can rely on you posting a couple of HHs a week, which is great to see someone actively trying to improve their game and as your post shows, change your mind about the way to play a hand. Until next time... ;)
