  1. My stack (BB) - 2200
    SB - 1100
    Button - 4000

    blinds 50/100

Folds to the button who mini-raises to 200
    SB calls

What's my move? Table has been pretty active, so I haven't had any BSB battles (usually others are involved). SB seems pretty weak/tight and no read on button as he was just moved to table.

  2. raise? 600-700 sounds fine. pushing would also be an option because you don't wanna give your opponents a flop when you would be pot commited after their preflop call anyway.
  3. If you raise to 700 and the button calls you are almost pot commited with 1500 behind and the pot having 1800. You might wind up having to make a tough decision out of position if the flop has 1 over card. Checking invites a steal, and if you bet you are only getting called by a better hand (usually). I think i just push over. Risk 2000 to win 600 and you probably have the best hand. You might even get a loose call from Ax or a race with some dead money left over from pre flop.

This is an MTT right, and not an SNG? I might be more inclined to play it slower if this is a SNG bubble situation and there are other shorties around, or something like that.
  4. This looks to be a SNG to me.
  5. Sorry, this is a MTT.

  6. Pushing seems so obv now. For some reason, I thought the Button was on a weak steal so I re-raised to 800 (maybe I was trying to push the button out but get the SB to push.....I don't know). Button called, SB pushed, me and button called (SB's raise wasn't as big as the min so I couldn't just stick it in there). I was priced in and pushing any flop. Flop came Q high and Button had AQ. I think button would have called my PF push there anyway, but I was confused as what the +EV play was so figured I'd post.

  7. Push...don't think twice about it. AQ is actually a pretty strong hand for someone to min raise with on the button like that, but some people just do stupid things I guess.
