  1. I really have trouble in these spots because I dont know how to make a raise large enough to isolate, yet small enough to escape from if I get a shove from EP.

    this is a pretty common situation I would just like some pointers on.

  2. His raise could be aces, kings, at-ak, small pair, who knows, Smooth call, see a flop and if no overcards come, take a stab. If the flop comes high, and he bets, easy lay down and you dont lose much.
