Is raising preflop the optimal line here vs a random at the the 16$ level? Im definitely raising QQ and probably folding TT. JJ, i just dont know, folding seems pretty weak, flatting might be better. Whats your line?

On the flop i ship it in after he donkbets. I think its pretty standard considering hes gonna have a draw, smaller pair or air a decent amount of the time and i already put in a decent amount of my chips.
  2. Calling his 120 is ok, re-raising is very very bad. Need to be super nitty early on in these. Folding to his 120 raise is the best option.
  3. Yeah Im not calling there on the flop shove.

Wouldnt you say AA, KK, QQ, AQ, AK hit his range?

I don't think he would go over the top with AK or AJ here, so your beat.
  4. It sucks but folding pre is probably the best play cause your most likely behind his range and can't afford to spew chips.
  5. honestly i think your flop logic is horrendous, especially at 10/20 blinds. i dont know where to start, but all of your reasoning for shoving the flop is absolutely terrible.

reraising 120 is also bad here. its 10/20, unless you have a monster hand which a pair of jacks preflop is NOT at 10/20 blinds, its comletely -ev to get your stack in this early.

optimal line is call the 120...when he leads out strong on the flop fold. keep the pot cheap this early in the tournament. i also want to re-iterate i think your flop logic was atrocious. i dont know what else to say ill leave it at that

edit: everytime i re-read your flop explanation i get sicker and sicker. please do the opposite for the opposite reasons next time

  6. So donkleads indicate strenght now??

I agree i should have flatted pre and folded on that flop. But given i did reraise and he then donkleads into me for less than half-pot, am i really supposed to fold here? Like what is he representing by leading into me? There's just no point for him to lead here when he really has a made hand.

In this case he did happen to have toppair strong kicker, but wouldn't his bet indicate weakness most of the time?

  7. reraising pre is pretty bad, much better to flat or vs. good/regular fold. If played this way you can get away on unfavourable flops pretty easily, possibly flop a big hand and extract value from his Ax hands.
