Join me in Donating a Percentage of Sunday(1/17) Profits to the Crisis in Haiti

    As most of you know, one of the most severe natural disasters in the history of our lives struck Haiti several days ago. I thought it would be nice for some of us poker players to help out with the disaster relief effort.

    I suggest that anyone who is interested pledge a small percentage of their profits from this Sunday to the victims. If you want to cap your donation at a certain dollar amount so it doest get out of hand if you have a big win that is obviously fine.

    I will kick things off by donating 10% (10k max) of my total profit for the day. On Monday I will add up all cashes across all sites, deduct all buy-ins and donate 10% of the difference to a disaster relief fund. If I don't profit on sunday, I will donate $250.

    Please recognize how lucky we all are and join me in giving something back if you can afford to do so.

    And I'm not saying everyone should do this (you should contribute to the organization you feel most comfortable donating to), but since FTP, PS and Cake are matching every donation 100% it would make more sense to donate to them directly so more money can be raised for these efforts.

    Doc Sands is absolute boss. # 1 ranked player, decent @ The Madden game and willing to donate up to 10k to help a cause.

    For real bro, you are a solid dood. If I play Sunday I'll be sure to toss some percentage. If I don't play I'll make sure to donate a little anyway

    -Doc=very classy guy..nice to see.. i will do the same except i never win on sundays ....so even i have 0 profit ill donate 100$ too.

    unicef is another good site to contribute to that i have already but i agree since these sites are matching contributions its a good idea to donate here. im gonna put up 10% of my profits up to 2k and 200 if i dont profit.

    Don't think i'm gonna make a percentage or max amount but if I am lucky enough to make some money on sunday will be contributing decent amount if not still throw something to relief fund. glgl everyone

    i tried posting this thread 2 days ago and it was deleted
    i complained and my acct was almost banned..

    but i guess thats another reason why being unknown sucks

    the good thing is they allowed this thread to stay so at least poker players can help in some way.

    I am in same % as Doc's. Good idea and I hope everyone joins in so we can help. As Doc said we are so fortunate to be able to dot his for a living and 1k for us is nothing compared to what it would do for this poor people. Gl all
