So last night I get top 50 in the first FTOPS event for 1900..... Just not good enough.
Get to the final two tables twice in back to back nights in the 24+2 35k Guarantee on FT, and bubble the final table........ great.
I play extremely tight and maybe steal once or twice in three orbits... Do I need to be opening more pots and 3-betting with less than A high pre???? Am I just not aggressive enough to win these tournies?
s00tedj0kers was at my FTOPS table last night and literally opened 4 out of 6 hands per orbit and was crazy aggro.... looks like it paid off. He had so many chips he could afford to flip around with low pairs and lose and he was up and down.

I played Midnight Madness two days ago and busted out 17th losing KT to T9. MTT's are made to crush your soul. You can play for hours and hours and miss the final table by 3-4 spots. Work on getting a larger stack when getting close to the bubble. Raise 2-3 hands per orbit against players who are just /folding pre-flop to get further up the pay scale. That way, if you do encounter a bad beat, it won't be for your stack.

Sickening to realize so much of your MTT winnings is how you run at the end....
Coinflipping for five-figure equity....can be so gross...
my advice is to run better -
In the ftops with 300 left I had 140k and got it all in with KK against JJ and AK for a 250k pot.... Lost with an ace on flop and had 43k left. Got that 43k back into 430k at its highest pt with around 40 left then lost it with 10 10 v AK AIPF. BARF.
