Hi mate ive been playing with you a bit on the 45s and your game seems solid to me, and yes 1k games break even is standard, how many tabels are you playing on the $6.5s? you defo need to think a bit more than the 3.25s so might be an idea to just play a couple till you get used to them a bit more, but you shouldnt have such a big roi swing.
-
SS has you playing 249 games at the 6.50-12 level 45 man tournaments. Running at -21% over that small of a sample size is completely standard. Look up any of the regulars in these (myself, PEPIV, frostbrn, ALBINAS, Wickss79, Gimmidaloot7, Autosurff, etc.) and you will see break-even stretches up to around 1,000 games from nearly every single one of us. The key is to keep evaluating your play and keep making good push/fold decisions.

Thanks for replies i feel abit better about it now lol i 16table tiling, what do you two do? my screen is only 20" and iv never tried stackign the tables is tht eaiser for you? Do you think i should move up still playing the 6.5s or just stay at the 3s for now? my br is 1200ish
-
I 15-tbl tile on a dual setup (22" and 17"). If you're losing confidence in your game you should mix the 3.25s and the 6.50s together in such a way where you don't know what stakes each table is. That way you can focus on making the correct decisions and you won't fake yourself out by worrying too much about the stake level. 1200 is more than enough to play the 6.50s, so once you've gotten a bunch under your belt and feel confident in them you can move up to play them exclusively.

ty man il give it a go

super standard....gl at the tables

i'm in the middle of a 5-600 break even stretch in the 3/45s; I think it's because the intellipoker people are gone :(

I don't know what is up with everyone saying 1,000 games with no profit is standard variance. THIS IS NOT STANDARD VARIANCE! I don't know if people say this to make them feel better about playing like shit or what...this is wrong. Sorry to be harsh but the quicker you know, the quicker you make $$$.
If you are not showing consistent profit results over 400-600 games...then you sir have a major leak in your game. Sorry, but that is the truth. You are breaking even after playing 1,000 games. This is no good. You clearly have gotten to relaxed and opened up leaks in your game which you now must plug.
REVIEW, REVIEW, REVIEW...replay all your key hands and find out what your doing wrong...I promise you there is some major things you need to fix.
Ok, sry for tha rant and good luck in your game. -

no offense JustALurker, but there are some people who play 1000's, hell 10,000's of these things with consistent good results and say that this is something that has happened to them, too. Every time these posts come up, there's always some uber-volume player that stats "yes, this happens, happened to me as well as 3 other regs".
-
This is neither completely right nor completely wrong. It is closer to being right than it is to being wrong. Your ROI should be 40% at those levels. You should not be having break even stretches of 1000 games.

Your game likely needs a little help. Check your private messages.
Oh FWIW anyone that thinks you can be breakeven over 1000 games, I will give 50-1 your $100 vs my $5000 that I am +ROI in my next 1000 $6.50/45s. -
wtf does that even mean or prove? U can run breakeven for 1k games in mttsngs, not sure how u are trying to disprove this.
-
It means I think the chance of me losing this bet is trivial. If you think there is a non trivial likelyhood of me losing then you would be an idiot not to take a chance on winning $5000.
Put up or shut up IMO... I will play the 1000 in two weeks, and will repeat the bet until you get tired of shipping me $100 every week or two. I will virtually never lose this bet...... -
LOL at people thinking breakeven over 1000 games(45 mans) at the $6 level is standard variance.
I would like to put up a prop bet where I will play 5 sets of 200 SNGs and have at least 5% ROI in each set -
Well 1000 games breaking even isn't standard if you've played 3000 games, but you play tens of thousands and you'll be doing well not to hit a long stretch where you don't profit. Most regs who've actually played tens of thousands will no doubt testify to this. It doesn't mean to say that you can't go on a 1000 game breakeven stretch in your first 1000 games either, it can happen at anytime obviously, but until you've played enough games, you won't be able to tell if it was just bad varience or if it's you doing something wrong.

I think Boku had a breakeven stretch in these games and kills em.
