Hey guys, I turned 21 last monday and plan on headin to tunica after my class tmrw from U of Bama. Ive been doin some research but obv not good enough. Im trying to find a good deal/rate in terms of pokerroom play and cheap 2 nights stay. But since im a noob to all of this, I really dont know what to do. Ive heard the gold strike is 55/night for the pokerroom rate but I dont want to be spending all my time there cause I want to check out the circuit event going on and Harrahs is sold out anyways.
In terms of the other major casinos in Tunica, which ones that I havent mentioned have some good deals or cheaper but not sketchy trashy places to stay?
Also since Ill be playing live for the first time, any links or advice on adjusting my game since Ive only played online? Obv by my stats, im not rolled for the circuit but im gonna take some shots in the satty's and just grind the weekly mtt's/cash games at the casinos hopin to get a score or a nice upswing.
Anything else you wanna mention would be really appreciated, since like I said, Im new to this, thanks PD. -
Gold Strike
Horseshoe
Harrahs
only ones worth thinking about. All the 1/2NL or 1/3NL games are very beatable. Plenty of old regs, but mostly an easy game. Harrahs should be tight with the circuit in town, i played events last couple of years, lots of people there -
Sam's Town offers low rooms and their tourneys are pretty soft. Its not the best option but prolly 4th after the Gold Strike, Horseshoe and Harrah's. Just go and have fun, its your first live experience so anything can happen. Think positive and trust your reads but more importantly have fun and enjoy it.

PS stay away from the table games (blackjack, 3 card poker, etc) these are usually my weaknesses.
