  1. I know nobody wants to read another thread about somebody losing their whole roll, but it has really gotten to me.
I am now at zero on stars mainly due to bad beats(and maybe some poor BR Management).

I have never been as frustrated by poker as I am now.Thats probably why I am making this stupid post.

I am not going to deposit, and I am going to build up my roll with only fpp's.

    Thanks
  2. sucks and gl
  3. Good luck, we have all been there

  6. I have lost before, but this time it really hurts for some reason. I would have never made this post otherwise.
Maybe I just need some time away from this game.

  11. gl to you.

If you're still feeling frustrated, you might want to take a little break. Maybe about a week or so. It might do you some good and you'll come back motivated to play your best game.
  12. or u could just deposit $15 and make your life a whole lot easier

It's actually 100% this. On the net today you can play anywhere from .01/.02 NL cash or $1 SNGs. I refuse to believe anyone is so bad that they cannot beat that level, so it is therefore all your fault for not practicing sound BR management.

IMO, sound bankroll management is the most important skill in all of poker. You fail.
  14. bobcat you are 100 percent right. I do fail at bankroll management because my ego gets in the way everytime. I need to work on that.

    and i am bad

  15. If you honestly believe going broke is due mainly to bad beats and some bad bankroll management, I honestly advise not playing poker. If that sounds harsh so be it. In any case, gl.
  16. Going broke is definately due to bad BR management. I know that.
I am just frustrated.ARGGHH. I really want to break something, but that is not in my nature.
TY for all the positive responses

  17. I may not always take shots to become semi-rich but I know this: I will never, ever, ever go broke even if I played poker for a living for 20 consecutive lifetimes, assuming that playing conditions stay the same. The reason is that I play within my bankroll and I've figured out over time how large it needs to be so that there is virtually zero chance that I go broke.

If you're bad that's one thing, but if you know you have the ability to win over time and keep going broke, it's entirely the result of poor bankroll management. If you can figure out your edge, you'll know how much money to set aside for your roll and as long as you keep playing within those limits, it would be an almost impossible statistical outlier for you to go broke. Only experience and analyzing results will enable you to know what that number is.

  18. I have been there too man, and yes it is 100% BR management FAILURE!! Imdropping way down to levels ive never even played at before but its something that needs to be done, BR management is key
  19. Well you started this thread, so let's get into the details so we can try to avoid this happening again...

How big was your roll a month ago? What games were you playing? Stakes? Did you go over your HH to try and find places where playing too high affected your play? Or fear of bad beats affected your play?

What about a week ago? how big was your roll? What game/stakes were you playing?
