1. I have always been a big fan of A-K .....but no more.......the past two days I have lost with A-K 16 out of 17 times......in SNG's and MTT's....many of these losses knocked me right out.....I have raised large with A-K , go all-in with A-K, raised small with A-K, limped with A-K (obviously the worst option)......and the flops, turn and river have missed me completely........usually losing to 2-2 or 8-7 suited..........

I will now just FOLD A-K unless I am completely 'felted'.........farewell A-K.....I used to love you but you have abused our relationship.......

3. Dude, it happens to me as well.

Usually when I raise with it, 2-3 callers flop Q high, and the 2 callers go at it.
4. *New 4/1* We all know there is no one right way to play poker and when Dg0016 asked was this a horrible play? we found out top players like brsavage, gbmantis, and ActionJeff can disagree completely on how to play the same hand. This is a long thread discussing AK, fold equity, squeeze play, stack accumulation vs. preservation and many more MTT concepts.

*New 4/1* In AK, I need help NSXT2 shares an article he wrote adressing one of the most overplayed hands in Hold'em.
5. A-K has been and always will be a drawing hand. If there is multi way action in a pot and you hit nothing then you may as well dump it. Not complaining though, love it when someone overplays A-K and my pair of 6's beat them. +EV for me!
