  1. Please help, I'm confused. When does the kicker plays when there's 2 pair on the board. I have Q6 and other guy Q2 we paired up our queens on the flop and there is a pair of fives on the turn and river. Since I got the 6 and is higher than the 5's, I believe my kicker plays, but instead we chop the pot. Then when the same situation happens with A J vs A Q and get 2 pair with A and K's queen kicker plays and I loose. I just can't figure out this rule yet. When does the kicker plays when you got 2 pair?
  2. Hold'Em is always the best 5 card hand that can be made from your 2 cards and the 5 on the board. You do not have to use any cards from your hand.

In your first example, there was obviously something bigger than a 6 on the board that you both shared as your kicker.

In your 2nd example, his Queen beat any card you could have used as a kicker.
  3. Thanks that really helps. I guess that's the downside of playing online at least at the casino you can always ask the dealer. So, I figure that's why they raise 3 cards on the board at the end of each hand. Thay way you can see the 5 highest cards.
