KK 29bbs BB facing BTN open from 37bb REG - options?

    I had been generally tight and had just picked up 10bbs by shoving AK pre.

    Praga running at 19/15 79hs 22% BTN PFR

    Benefits of calling:
    We have just shown down a strong hand, so we are a little more likely to get a fold when we 3b
    When we call, we underrep our hand, we keep in all his junk, we pick up flop cbets, and if he picks up something he's often going to stick around for a turn lead from us.

    Benefits of 3betting:
    Our perceived range is wide when we 3bet the btn in this spot, so we could 3bet small to induce a 4bet, or he can flat us and hopefully float IP.

    Thoughts?

    would never flat this...flat your big pairs in spots where you're never 3betting light. This is just an easy 3b imo

    3b and wait for his push if he has a decent hand. I wouldn't be slow playing kings.

    If you did just show a strong hand then that's great, you won some chips now he might think your trying to bully a bit which may actually encourage him to go over the top of you with AQ or AK.

    I don't mind flatting big pairs, but OOP vs. an active button opener is a great place to 3b induce. In the long-run, 3b/c will be more profitable than flatting in this spot. If you were a bit shorter so that 3b/f wasn't an option (hence you're never inducing a light 4b), I would consider flatting, but not with effective stacks close to 30bbs.

    Its a 3bet/call I would make it 2900-3400 range and call any raises, and cbet all flops, cbet size would be 4k ish and then the rest easily goes in on the turn. This does have some player dependent type changes that could be made with raise sizing and cbetting.

    It's a $2 tourney, there is no reason to think anyone is paying attention/has a pulse. 3b/call always.

    lol... this. never flat here since it'll be too tough to get it all in the middle. 3b to lower your SPR etc. etc. pretty easy.
