1. Nastiest cash spot I've had in a while. I thought I was beat, stayed in....

I didn't think I should shove here... I'm so confused.

My reads on both were loose players (over 30 minutes) but that's 6 max, and neither have bet that strong pre, or postflop, so I was sketched out from the onset. I was sure they had one of us on JJ/KK/QQ, so one had AA.

The table always folds to a 4xBB bet, so I kept it standard to drag in 33, JJ, AQ on draws.

I seriously think I F'd up here, just not sure where, since I wanted action, yet felt priced in to see the flop vs loose guys.

  2. reraise pre.... you def don't want to just flat there. reraise pre, and given that flop, i doubt i'm folding.. unless you have some ridic read on one of them and even then probably not at these stakes
  3. yeah. at that point I questioned being in there, but that would have cleared things up.

Honestly I think I would have been 4bet there, which I was afraid of. I tend not to shove 1.5 buy in on KK. I'm a far better postflop player than preflop, so I like seeing flops.

Maybe I need to loosen that mindset up?

  4. nothing wrong with your thinking at all. I'm just saying i'm def raising there.. i don't really want 4-5 ppl in the pot when i'm holding KK. You might get repopped but you'll have to see from there. You don't necessarily have to shove either.. but i'm just saying flatting there doesn't seem good cause people coudl be calling with lots of random crap.
  5. That's likely where I went wrong since my preflop is very passive and unnecessarily trappy. TY <3

I'll try to quit being a preflop wuss, and learn to deal with 4 bets. At the moment I think I'm bleeding far too much equity by waiting seeing where I stand on the turn, than getting/risking more pre-folds. The turn is my bread and butter.

  6. it's good to be in the mindset not to stack off with pairs pre all the time.. but in this case you need to raise there no matter what i think.. I can't think of a scenario where flatting there would be good. I'd repop, then if someone comes overtop, i'm prob shipping it in.. unless you have a godly read on him having AA but again at these stakes i'd prob ship KK in pre if need be.
  7. 4 bet preflop to 6$ call shove. If he flats shove majority of flops.
  8. At these stakes I don't think it changes anything (LOL - Js are the NUTZ right?) but do reraise pre. You raised in EP and when the action got back to you it's 3 other players in for a 3-Bet - FAR to many for Ks. Make a solid 4-bet you TOTALY want to isolate a single player with Ks. I'm thinking shove given the stacks. The pot is ~3.30 so going 4 or 5 makes it push/fold for the $10 ($9 left) stacks - we may as well push rather than end up calling a push

    my 2 cents
  9. Please dont just flat preflop, you have the second best hand in poker. Why in the world would not try and get some people out or at least put more money in preflop? If you make it $4.25 and call a shove you make WAY more money on this hand in the longrun especially at 10NL.

  10. Thanks guys! I'll keep that 4bet/isolate/commit-them/shove mindset in play in these situations forever <3 I have huge leaks preflop, this is one less~

I certainly didn't want 2 followers on the first hand, and they helped me with my problem.

I was hoping the 2nd HH I posted was in-line with what I 'should' be doing, and it wasn't. That's why I posted the 2nd one :)

I need to raise bigger, and now I'm starting to get that range in my mindset.

It was only 20% lol-got beat, and 80% "is this how I should bet big pairs in cash?"

And I got constructive feedback from it, thx.

My Aces held tonight Twice for dbl ups, and I felt grateful that I came here to understand what's the bet-size for big-PP in micro-cash.

  15. raise bigger - make it $1.20-1.50 then call the shove. never ever ever min-raise its horrible. hope this helps :)
  16. raise more to like $1.25 or something. Don't min raise aces there. As played obvs snap call. Just unlucky

Is KK the type of hand you want to play a multi-way pot with? Raise it up preflop.
  18. Hand 2,
You typically want to raise it up ~ 3x-3.5x villain's raise (depends though, could be 4x+ if OOP). Min-raising prices in any hand he'd be opening with obviously and we want to build a pot with a big hand.
Luckily you got the desired results with the 'minraise'.. all the money going into the pot.

  20. perfect :) run better lol also buy in for a full stack (100BBs)
  21. Unlucky. Well played though. You win that over 70% of the time and all you can hope for is getting your money in while dominating.
  22. Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm happy I've learned better through ya'll <3

(It's humorous how bad I run, but I'm not discouraged~)
