  1. About 2000 left in the Double Deuce and Im a top 50 stack. Villian was new to the table, less than 10 hands played. He folded until the hand before when he limped, and folded the flop. His turn shove was instant (so it appears the Q didnt affect his decision as he insta-shoved). the only real draw on the flop would be 78. I would think that most 9s would pause when the over hits. Is it super nitty to fold here?

  2. Never folding to someone named Rodrigo.

  3. I definately think folding is too nitty here. I think 9x is still very much in his range (along with a bunch of other hands we beat), and we are going to be ahead enough to make this call a profitable one against a random villain in the DD with donkish tendencies. UL that you ran into a set.

lol, and yeah im not folding

  5. Snap call. Even if he gets there( I think you're ahead) you still have an ok stack behind. Great opportunity to build a huge stack
  6. im not folding either. what country was he from? prob makes it even easier.

  7. Need a very strong read to fold.. but against a limper id rr/c the flop
  8. nope. wager all your chips imo.
  9. im calling and expecting to see 9-x and small pairs a bunch (occassionally 22 which sux) and T8 is also possible.. Going to be a pretty big favorite most of the time here imo.

  10. Weird line he took??
Limp, calls raise pre, check raises flop & donks the turn?
He must know/think you have something decent to bet with, and yet he shoves the turn.
Whys he re-raising the flop if hes hit a set, cant see him doing that.
Just had a look at his OPR - very small volume but 30% ROI.
Not the foggiest idea what he has, maybe he has 99 after all?
Would you donk the turn when youve only 1 pair? Dont think so. Saying that is AA possible?
My guess is your behind, but behind what, not a clue.

In hindsight I def agree with this... The part that really got me is that I would expect most 9x hands to pause for a second and at least think about the Q, and how it affects his hand. On a drawy board the insta shove usually means it is a draw, as they are planning on shoving any blank for their hand...

I eneded up folding as I felt pretty confident with my table and was taking down alot of pots. At the time I just had a sick gut feeling I was behind. And being at 60bbs I really thought I could continue to chip up nicely (vs calling and losing, and basically having a reshoving stack). Altho having a 100+bbs wouldve been very nice.

After a night to think about it kinda wish I wouldve made the call, but I dont hate my fold either...

  12. very possible he had a set of 2's, 6's or 9's here..his limp pre and call of your raise is how many people play smallish pocket pairs. Very tough fold, but probably the right thing to do if you feel that you are playing comfortably and adding chips to your stack. His shove on the turn was kind of strange, but since you raised his flop bet he might have figured that you would call of the rest.
  13. I'm not folding there.
