So i wanted to know what people thought about the sizing of my 4 bet preflop, and ofcourse any other input would be appreciated.

Is the villain a regular at these stakes? Could easily be a donkey who satellited in and is looking for a quick double up -- it's always a possibility with all the satellites that stars has....
Intersted to see his DB -
have you played with Tarakan1970 before?
Good 4bet if u are considering folding to an all in so early. Seemed kinda small tho, maybe raise between 600-700 to show more strength, he could have come over top there with QQ, even KK, AA seems likely. Tough spot -
I call here and he flips over AKs hits ace on the turn GG me.
I think this early in any tournament you can't fold KK facing this kind of action. You get coolered so be it. Way to early to be putting people on AA and folding KK imo. Your actions do not represent KK more like JJ and look slike he has AKs QQ hand, he does not want you to call as the only thing that should call here is AA.
So my reasons for calling is as the hand was played no one can put my on the KK and as his hand is played he should want action from the upper-mid strength hand you represent. I am sure he has Aks here. -
No offence Les, but this is a $1000 touney. I can't imagine anyone 5 betting with out a premium in this spot. I say good fold, the 4 bet was a good sized bet, I't didn't make price you in and I believe you got the info U wanted. Well played sir.
P.s if he has less than aces there i tip my hat to him. -
i hate it
4 bet size is fine.. more of a cash game play though where you'd be more likely to be mixing in bluffs.. like id make it a bit more for fear of giving away your hand with a tiny 4 bet, but its all finaccy, imo you HAVE to call shove though.. don't see how you can be so confident his range is AA only here.
if you don't want to stack off with it pre then i'd be smooth calling his reraise rather than turning your hand into a bluff. -
he could of been 6th level'ng him with 88-JJ... look at the guys DB...
-
i call
-
IF there is a spot where you CAN fold KK preflop it is this early IMO...
you call and lose you lose all your equity in th etournament
you call and win you gain only a small amount of equity due to the large field...
correct me if i'm wrong... but KK is stronger later than it is here.... -
Good Fold. OBV he has AA there with how good you run.
