  1. Kush is chip leader at the final table of the stars 150. He's number one in my pro poll and if you watch this go down he'll be number one in yours too.

    Edit: Omnipotent
  2. the online poker superstar?

  3. His opponents are so demoralized by his brilliant postflop play that they are shoving 20 and even 30bbs preflop.

  9. Why dont you post the hand history where he raises in the SB (from 15k to 95k) with T8o and the guy in the BB shoves K10dd and the 8 flops all in for (22k more to the raise -- obviously he has to call here then) and flops the 8.. or various other stupid/crazy calls all in pre flop? ... No nevermind, he is the best obviously rank him #1 in your polls. Lol you guys make me sick.
  10. lool ^ why dont you post them
  11. Maybe everyone other than you thinks he played the 108 hand correctly.

  12. Sorry, closed table.. hand history and all. Going to bed now. Just think its funny how people try to brag in these sort of spots. I remember 2 hands that were played very poorly but 100% luck but it doesnt matter. Congrats to him on the win, just funny his friends are like #1!!! #1!!!.. Goodnight.
  13. lol... You cant be serious. I mean, I think its correct to raise 6 1/2 times the BB with T8o when the guy has only 22k behind him after the raise. If you are going to put someone all in who has 10x the BB with T8o then gl to you but when he shoves his last 22k and you are a huge underdog.. then you must of played the hand right. /sarcasm

I dont see how anyone can justify that hand. If you are just purely gambling and making him commit with a hand then I see the logic, but to say it was played correctly getting it in 75%-25% all in pre, is a bad statement. (I dont mind shoving and putting the pressure on a shortstack who has 10x the BB but you cant say it was well played lol.)
  14. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding your description, it sounds like it was a pretty standard play?
  15. No im saying it could be a standard play if you are just hoping the shortstack BB doesnt wake up with a hand, but for his friend to say he played it correctly getting it in a huge underdog is absurd. I dont push 10x the BB to the shortstack with T high ever.
  16. I don't want to berate you so I'll just be very sarcastic.

Yes, T8o is a very premium hand. In fact, I have never folded T8o in my life. I think Kush's T8o value push is 10th level thinking and that is why he is 1,2,3,4, and 6 in my pro poll. He was obviously pushing so he would be called. Oh and if you are wondering who is ranked 5th on my pro poll? Yeah that's Kush also.
  17. He had an M of less then 5 (his stack was less then 5 times the pot size) in the BB and so when it is folded to me in the SB I have a very wide shoving range. It doesn't matter if I raise 95k or 400k he only had like 112k so all that matters is I make a raise where he knows he is playing for all of his chips. It was literally the only way to play T8o unless you like burning money and folding.
  18. unless you like burning money

from what I heard at Turning Stone throwing money into fires is a favorite past time of yours kush =)
  19. lol trug thats some pathetic/ignorant shit
  20. easy push kush lost big all ins before that anyway it evens out

the best mtt player actionjeff got to 3 final tables last 3 days playing only a few tourneys a night but didnt win even if u play perfect u have to occasionally win all ins deep in the tourneys otherwise it is just impossible and kush pretty much dominated gifafi for life
  21. Im genuinely keen to learn here so would appreciate if someone from the the "10,8 shove was a good move" school could explain why to me this is a good move? As KUSH said the BB was very short and hence more likely to call and also he acknowledges that HIS range for shoving there was very wide hence making a call more likely. Why then would you voluntary put yourself in a pot for 120k in chips knowing you are at best a 45-55 dog? I just dont understand. What is so wrong with giving the BB a walk once in a while?
  22. the other blind will fold like 60% of the time.

OF the 40% you are called

You will win I dunno 35% or so?

This seems pretty +ev to me

  23. I agree IF you think the BB will fold 60% of the time but from the facts here it seems he will call more than 60%, which is why I think its -EV.
  24. The BB doesn't call all in here more then 60% of the time. As a matter of fact, if you assign a calling range for the bb of 22+, A2+ (suited or unsuited), KT+ (suited or unsuited), and QJs then he still only calls 24.8% of the time. When he does call me then I am 36.6% to win versus that range of hands. So clearly a very +ev play...
  25. im sure he knows what hes doing, cant over analyze every hand, good win..congrats
  26. Don't take any of this offensive, we are just happy for our friend who won a tournament for 28k. Sure he got lucky in spots, but if you can find me one player who won a tournament without luck involved I'd like to see it. In the meantime, congratulations to my friend Kush who won the stuper last night.
  27. supastah!

  28. outstanding use of the caps key...
  29. I might be able to dig up a hand history but RandALLin's point is very valid...it's very difficult for anyone to win a tourney without getting lucky in some spot. I'm pretty sure this is common knowledge but for some reason the guy that Rand is responding too either forgot or chose to ignore. Congrats Kush, well done.
