I am considering making a trip out to LA for a weekend in mid-March. I was wondering if anyone knew from experience which casinos had good NL tournaments. I want to know which ones have good structures/starting chips and approximately how big of a field I can expect. I'm looking for a buy-in anywhere from $50 to $500. If anyone knows of something higher than $500 and has satellites to it, I would also be interested.
I would probably be staying Thursday through Sunday. Thanks for the help.

The only thing going on in March for LA is:
http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tour...nt.php?tid=161
LA POKER CLASSIC is this weekend -
The Bicycle Club has the " Winning O the Green" Tournament that runs from March 2nd through the 27th. Sunday March 18th there is a $1500 + $80 entry No Limit Tourney. If you stay a bit longer they have a $2500 entry tourney.
Go to Cardplayer.com and look it up under Tournaments
Also, Great Cash games at both the Bicycle Club and at the Commerce which are very close to each other in location.
I have a feeling you will like it in L. A.
Good luck -
Thats what I already told him...

They do run sattelites.
Take note of the schedule for the entire Winning O the Green Tourney.
Lots of lower priced tourneys $500 and under so you should have a full week.
