Hey guys this post is mainly intended to Vegas locals.
I live in a house with a couple other poker buddies in Vegas and during the WSOP we had a great time because there were so many other poker players around to chill with/go out with etc. However, now that we are just online most of the time we are having a hard time meeting other people.
Also, what are some good local bars/activities? We have done our fair share of clubbing, but it's tilting when you can spend 2 days on a Lake Mead house boat for the price of one night out.
Anyways, what Im looking for are some good chill spots and better ways to meet people. -
Yep, that sums it up.
Gave it a lil over a year and bailed. During WSOP can be fun when you have a lot of friends in town...and I had year round poker/non-poker groups of friends tha lived there as well...but as far as an everyday type social atmosphere, there just wasn't what I would want or was used to.

Obv a sick brag post about hooking up with guys.
Just kidding, I am moving with my wife to Henderson next month and thought about the same thing. From what I experienced living in Austin, you will have a hard time meeting people if you play online mostly just about anywhere you live. It will come down to meeting people when you go out, gym and when you play live. A mix of playing live and online will prolly be best for your sanity. -
I agree. I do a lot of golfing and love going to lake mead. There are also a lot of cool bars at the town center south of mandalay bay. Stoneys on thursday is full of big titty hoes. Baseball games on thursday have dollar draft beer night. and obv chilling in the crib drinking beer and jacking off is always a plus.
